I really feel there should be a thread listing the tags for new players so if we want to challenge new people we can look up their tags from that thread. I would like to see more of these new people but I don't know their GT about half the time. If there are others that feel this way let me know?

All I want to do to is play a wider range of people that is all. I don't play to win or lose but to enjoy myself. I enjoy myself plenty from loses as well. You shouldn't jump to conclusions you know, what is wrong with want to know how others play for the fun of seeing new people.

I think we played once when you played goh I am not certain what happened that fight I think I lost it but aside from that I don't know anything else about the battle.

What's up? Been lurking this forum for a long time. I've been more into the Soul Calibur scene. Unfortunately, I don't know where the community went. Still searching for where they went to.

I picked up VF4 for a few years now, and loved it. Too bad I can't find any competition.

So I bought VF5 for 360. Thank god for the online play. I wish they included the tutorial mode that was in VF4 Evo, so I can teach scrubs that come over how to play.

Salutations all. New to the site & semi-new to the series (haven't touched a VF game since VF3).

 

Sup everybody. I'm new to the site and the game more or less. I played a small amount of VF4, where my main was Lion. After screwing around with all the characters today, I'm sticking with him. I got VF5, now allz I'm waitin for is my stick to come in the mail, then I'll be online gettin beat down I'm sure. I want to play now, but the game is damn near unplayable with the 360 pad, so look out for me later on this week.

 

Hi all. I'm new to this site and new to the game. I've been playing fighting games for years now, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, Dead Or Alive, Bloody Roar and Soul Calibur. Virtua Fighter 5 is my first ever attempt at playing a Virtua Fighter game. Right now I am kicking myself for not getting into Virtua Fighter sooner. It's a really great game. It's hard for me to explain but its just got something that all those other fighters don't have.

Anyway, I got Virtua Fighter 5 for the Xbox 360 (yep, I'm a Xbox 360 owner. No PS3 I'm afraid, but maybe someday...)
I got the game about two weeks ago. I've tried out all the characters and the problem is I just can't seem to find a character that I want to stick with. All of the characters are so awesome I want to use them all.

Eventually I decided to maybe stick with Sarah Bryant, because I like her fighting style, (reminds me a lot of a style I used to do a few years ago), and I like the way she plays. The only problem is that I'm beginning to doubt Sarah's abilities and I'm thinking that maybe I made a mistake by choosing her as my main. I was just wondering what you guys think about Sarah and if you guys think I should switch to another character or not.

 

If you like Sarah, play Sarah. Lion for example is bottom tier but Lion players OWN hard in Japanese tournaments.

I recently picked up VF5: Online after a massive break from playing fighting games. I haven’t played a VF game since 3TB on Dreamcast. I was quite surprised when I started playing VF5, the changes are great.

I’ve started off playing as Jacky, mainly to get a feel for the new (to me) combat mechanics. I’ve played a little with Goh and my old favorites Akira and Kage - but for now I tend to think I’ll leave those two alone until I get a little better at the basics again.

Unfortunately I can’t actually play on Xbox Live for the moment as I’m stuck on 56k for awhile, although I did hook it up just to patch up the game.

... One last thing, many props to you guys for having a great community here, it’s a pleasant surprise to encounter a community that seems to want to help their newer members and everyone in general.
