I believe that is one of his orb items, I think he had this available on the PS3 version as well.

Can't confirm at the moment, I don't play enough Quest mode.

I think that what will happen is we'll get less and have to pay again and again to fill in the gaps. Of course, all in my humnle opinion.

Yes. I just picked up a 360. As soon as I was on Live I bought all three packs immediately. I am a huge item fan and will continue to purchase them as they become available.

If not enough people buy, they will stop making content available.

300+200+200 Gamer Points for what some consider sucktitude NOW may lead to xxx Gamer Points for awesomeness LATER.

Effect change. Please buy items. Thank you.

Buying these overpriced, crap item packs just encourages Sega to put out more overpriced, crap item packs.

Would going to the store and paying $5 for a gallon of spoiled milk, somehow, encourage the store to, one day, sell you inexpensive, good milk? No, no it wouldnt.

Your analogy sort of fits. The thing is, there are only so many items, they already exist for arcade, and a lot of them have mass appeal. The "crap" must end at sometime. "Crap" is still subjective. I like blue hair and blue foot plate.

I am a huge item fan and sit on one end of the scale. You may be somewhere in the middle. I have a point where I'll say no (maybe, say, $10 for one hairstyle). Mine is just farther out there than yours.

I have used footplate and devil wings for Sarah, Akiras kabuki facepaint and lance. So I do use some of the items, but releasing them in such small increments is bit lame imo.

Like plague said, we should also consider that buying the item packs will encourage Sega to release more items packs in the future, which might contain good stuff.

C'mon guys, they only cost a little over a pound. I think they are worth every penny.

    Pfff lol.
I still think the Quest Mode items are 10x better.

And Sega knows people complain about the item packs.

My beef with this entire item pack thing isn't that they're charging money for it. Neither is it that the items are already on the disc.

I can live with these things.

My beef is that they're so goddamn poor. Retardedly low amount of items in each pack and the items themselves are just "meh".

Not bought any of them yet, but was wondering
Do they get added to rivals in quest mode?

You automatically get the downloaded items for the characters. You don't need to play quest mode to obtain them.

Yeah, I'd rather have had them offer it as one pack.

None of the rivals use the downloaded items.

Hi I'm new here. I played VF4 Evo a few yours ago and liked it so I'm going to buy VF5 on 360 eventually. My favorite character is Sarah. Are the item packs any good for her? I keep reading here that you are dissapointed. Also, are there any pics of the items? It's hard to tell if I want them if I can't look at them first. I mean, I would never buy clothes in real life just ordering "blue jacket" on the internet, not knowing anything more than that =P I'm a sucker for customizing characters and that is the main reason I play fighting games ^^ thank you =)

A page or so ago, Akai posted a list of all the items in the pack. link
hk-vf net has a list of ALL items that are currently in the arcade game, but many are not out for the 360 yet and i think some items for the 360 are not available in the same colors for the arcade.
Google translation of Sarah's arcade items

thx. I looked at that page eariler, but didn't realize it was possible to translate it. I can't find everything since the translation isn't perfect, but it seems to me that item pack 1 might be worth it while pack 2 and 3 was not.

This link to Team Xbox was posted under the patch notes in another thread but figured i would put the sad info from the faq here.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Why did SEGA release DLC on the Xbox 360 game disc?

Dozens of new items were added to the Xbox 360 release, and only a handful of them require a download. The downloadable items would not have been included in the game if they were not selected to be downloadable, and including them on the disc was the only possible delivery mechanism that could be implemented within the development schedule.

If they were not included on the disc, an online distribution item distribution method would have to be created to allow players who didn’t download the items to view the items on their opponents who had them equipped.

SEGA’s goal with the downloadable content was to measure the level of interest in downloadable content, so that we could take it into account for future products.

Is SEGA planning to release some of the cool Japanese version C outfits as DLC for Virtua Fighter 5 for Xbox 360?

The DLC is complete as of Item Pack 3. There are no further plans for DLC at this time. </div></div>
