The same Wolf from before (Large Milky Way) continues to own for the first few matches, but a Vanessa player eventually gives him a good fight. Ohsu challenges later and.....well.....basically, Yoho, P, m-shrm, DJK is very very painful.

Interesting Goh matches, especially matches #2 and 3. It looks like Goh's shoulder ram is uncounterable. Arashi does m-shrm and then interrupts Kage's throw attempt with low punch....very interesting. I'm starting to get an idea of how Goh is supposed to be played now....I think. Good Wolf at the end too.

In this next clip, Termae shows a sense of composure under desperate circumstances. Good comeback! /versus/images/icons/cool.gif

Yea, the goh was quite impressive.

If only he did better for the final round. His style of playing is rather unique.

Yea, excellent play by the wolf player. So good that I didn't even see the rest of his team mates in action. /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif

Not that interesting actually. Yes, even the Japanese elite can be slow. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif Goh's shoulder is indeed throw counterable and in this particular case the Kage player was asleep at the wheel. It's also a good, and common, time to point out that after a throw counterable move, the Japanese players who get worshipped here don't E-DTEG when they *should*. They are human.

    cheers,

Goh's m-shrm appears to recover very fast (somewhere around 10 frames?), which is good news. My eyes might be deceiving me, but it seems to be just barely throw counterable.

I haven't seen the clip, but when dealing with a move that is barely throwable like Kage's d+k+g, or perhaps Goh's shrm, LP can be part of your flow chart, it's very likely that if Arashi LPed it wasn't a mistake. Once E-DTEG becomes the standard response after such moves your opponent will not always throw you, choosing to delay an attack, or use a crescent, or really delay a better throw. At these times you may see LP thrown in and maybe mistake it for a brain freeze. Not that it couldn't be a mistake, just that it usually isn't when you're talking about such high level players.
