The news throws are cool, but the hair is absolutely horrid, shudder. Anyway discussing Chibita's lack of fashionsense is kinda pointless /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif
Chibita is still a vicious opponent, I can't help but feel like he was toying with his opponent the first two rounds, losing the first two rounds and then 2 excellents?
He's not using new moves or strings afaics, except maybe the new Mantis catch followup (or is that simply ,?. (apart from the two new throws obviously).
Great juggles after legflop following n: ,,, is that stance dependant?

He didn't pull the move off right. Believe me -- it's extremely hard. The windows is VERY small, and it's easy to start too early. The full command is:

If you only see one or two punches though, the opponent has a few frames advantage. Otherwise, you get about 40pts damage plus the extra frames. Believe me -- hard. The fact that Chibita fucked it up should illustrate that.

 

I was wondering also.

IIRC chibita did NOT have it, so I'm guessing it's not a typical reward-for-doing-well item. If it's universal, I wonder if it's a curse item. It's too cool to be a curse item tho.

He's doing the whole thing in the first round of the ike_ketu clip. You're right it is very powerful. Takes off a nice chunk and he was able to follow up with a sidekick. Nice.

The strobe light is common to many characters. I've scene it on Lei Fei, Lau, Akira, & Jacky. A friend of mine that had a 10-dan Lei Fei had one. Apparantly VF.NET gave them to people that were above 10-dan, but my friend that got up to 10-dan had one... he also had like 6000 wins, so maybe that helped.

So the Strobe Light is pre-evo?
Or does your friend just play so much VF? Funny thing is that none of the ppl in the clips are even 10th Dan yet.

NO, not pre-Evo. To prevent an angry mob of VF'ers, AM2 did a special "Evo Item Present Service" where you apply for rare items based on your Ver. C. record. When EVO VF.NET started, you had your items there. If you had a spehere item or 100-win item on your card, you got rare items. I think the laser bracelet thing was based on how many wins you had (5000+ or so).

From what I hear, NOBODY is 10-dan yet -- Chibita's only 9-dan.

 

If someone has seen all the clips could they do me a favour and tell me which characters are in them so I don't have to download them, then delete what I don't want to see. Also, if Sarah's stage is in one of them too.

Your actions would save me a good couple of hours of web time.

Chibita beats up wolf on dural's, then JOE's excellent lei fei does the same on jeffry's stage, then joe does well again vs. pai on vanessa's stage. Chibita pimpslaps pai on lion's stage. That's about it.

A Cap card? As In Capture? If you're refering to video equipment then the answers no I'm afraid. I'm useless with that technical stuff. Perhaps the others will come up with something.

Still, if we've got it, how long will it be till you guys get it too. Though, I can understand that the States are a very big place to travel for Evo.
