Just to add a bit to the *all Kage* fest. If anyone has every wondered what real *machi* play looks like, watch the video. The last Kage on Kyasao's team has got to be the most machi bastard I've ever seen.

I was wondering the same thing. It can't be Chibita... *shudder* No way, no way. I honestly can say that Chibita is my hero, man the guy's a psychic. No way he's at 40%. Either Lion got screwed in EVO, or that's an imposter.

well it could be that, say, bunbun has decided to fuck around with lion for fun and 40% is the result.

Lion definitely doesn't look screwed in evo, and chibita's win percentage is fine.

Finally, some footage I ran across recently. These clips contain some new items. In "04_daivsjou", "12_daivsjou", "19_daivsjou" and "GINSOUDATU", Jacky's wearing an interesting outfit. It's the same baby bonnet from Ver. C, but with a small cape-looking thing attached.....VERY fruity /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif . "GINSOUDATU" is a prize match. In this clip, the Pai player appears to be brain-dead, and eats Jacky's elbow backfist repeatedly /versus/images/icons/mad.gif .

I don*t know who the person is, but the player was in the Jap. PS2 Kumite mode as well.
Mk2 is his ring name.I think he was somewhere in the King rankings in Kumite.

Here's the event I went to. Sorry, no pics of me on here that I can see... but look for a telltale flash of blue rabbit, and maybe you will see something.

Anyways, movies of the Vanessa and Lion I mentioned earlier. Clever win in the last round vs. Lau. Highly amusing stuff. Wish they put up ALL the Vane play though.

for anybody wanting to DL this clip, YOU SHOULDN'T!

this 80 meg clip is more like a Japanese style comedy interview where the Lei Fei player Joe teaches a normal guy some basics on how to use Lei Fei (use crane stance dK+G etc), then that guy is able to beat another beginner player.

Unless you have fluent Japanese, or are obsessed with looking at Joe, don't bother.

Damn, I was expecting it to have some useful setups for new moves, like in the TBzone DVD clips. I guess that was just wishful thinking. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

I liked the clip, despite the fact that it doesn't offer anything new in terms of how characters are played. Why I liked it is because it's a nice change to see players going through the process of testing and learning moves then trying them in a duel. The match wasn't the greatest or anything, but like I said it's a nice break from the usual battles and I wouldn't mind seeing one like it every once in a while /versus/images/icons/smile.gif.

Don't DL if you only want to watch serious play /versus/images/icons/smile.gif.

that clip is from the recent GameWave DVD. It wasn't as interesting as I thought i'd be, but it was amusing to watch.
