NEC X VF5 Results

some of them girls man... I thought about sex more than VF. I dunno bout u guys but I really could've gone for a mandatory casual sex session. I'm not sure if that sort of no-female's land atmosphere makes u more desperate or not.

 

Getting a girl to let you take pictures of her is shit easy. You just need to talk her into it.

 

I am still astounded that Cozby and I had rooms right next to each other even though we booked our rooms separately. The hotel easily had over 300 rooms. That is kismet.

 

It was great seeing all the players there! I can always count on NEC to have a nice VF tournament. It was cool meeting people like Happyfriend, RodNutz and Blackula as well as seeing familiar faces like Shag and CidKid. Congrats to Denkai, CIDKID and Chief Flash for placing.

I guess you need to stop waiting for players to use whole conbinations such as elbors(6P P. do not wait for this second P) and rest of moves. I know that you do not want to get hit major counter, but as long as you wait these, you would not be able to beat denkai and CIDKID easily. you wait for the definite advantages(situations which is like after sarah uses 6PK or 6PP and there is no more attack left) too much. that is why Rodney feels playing with Kage is easier on you.

you should watch the jacky player vs fuudo. this is a great example. please check what fuudo does after guarding jacky's 6P,3K and being hit 1P and think about why he does specific moves after these situations.

by the way, you can beat most of Americans by doing that though. that is the problem.

Unfortunately, I didn't catch any of you guys' names that I talked to, but thanks for the kind words and advice for my Sarah. I really want to pick up another copy of VF5 now.

And whoever put together the brackets, making me fight Flash first round was mean. =(

 

I didn't mean "your fault" in a jackass way. The thing is I felt that those tv's were fine when I tested them out. Also I periodicly walk around and ask everyone is their setup is okay, are they okay, are they having fun, etc. If no one tells me about their issue with a tv what am I to do about it?

 

Ooh shoutout to hervy, link and orochi. Link will demolish me next time if I play like I did.. Ill add u guys on xbl when i can. If u guys decide to play vf I think its important that you have a good reason to play and enjoy the game.

you know I would take care of you guys. Shit I always want vf at my tourneys. Its my favorite fighter and you guys are great to be around.

 

Nah im not even blaming you. (If we were smart we could've talked to you and brought our own setups or worked something out.) But it's a combo of lack of players, sega fucking up, etc.

First off... Hubbs thank you for always supporting the community! In regards to what I have read I'd say it's both parties fault. Honestly for the $20 bucks I spent, I definitely would have appreciate it if NEC did a better job at providing better equipment for the tourney. Sure the VF tourney is small and I can understand why they would have wanted to use there HD monitors for something else, but seriously those 2 TV's was just so disrespectful to the players who participated it wasn't even funny. The Shaqfu tournament was run on a much better TVs. Really I don't think we should have to ask for something that should have been a standard.

You also make a valid point that if something is wrong then the players definitely need to voice there opinion. I absolutely hate playing with my stick on my lap mainly because I use Akira and it just makes buffering his moves really hard because the stick is always moving around and not centered. I wanted to ask someone for their chair during my match with Cidkid, but I didn't and that cost me. It probably wouldn't have changed the out come, but at least I would have felt like I tried. To all players who participated we need to take Hubbs advice and speak up when we don't feel right about something.

Again thanks Hubbs for always supporting us and I will definitely try harder to make it to more events. Despite the problems I really enjoyed myself.

Really guys the reason VF fails is because we make it fail. We need to stop talking about events and actually start showing up to more of them.... myself included in that statement!

It's too bad u were not comfortable during the match Rod, and I can't believe u guys didn't have a table something to lift ur stick???

Thanks everyone for kicking my ass. Sorry, Hubbs, but it's true, the TVs you provide for GVN blow. I mean seriously, they don't even have Composite input. Next time I show up to a GVN event I'll be bringing my PC monitor for DOA. If I would have gotten the DOA tournies done earlier (like I wanted to but everyone wanted to do their other game matches sooner) I would have offered my monitor up for the VF tournament. I like VF and it's sad you guys always get stuck in the corner with the DOA gang , next time I recommend anyone to bring their own TV as a backup (that's what I did).

Hope to meet some people again at the next event, and maybe Chief can finally show me a thing or two with Wolf.
