Sort of cute and fun. Her cover of The Suburbs (Arcade Fire) is quite good as well.

'The Ring' is easily my favorite movie. The whole story regarding Samara fascinates me. One of my favorite memories about the movie was the song that played in the credits. Have a listen.

With Halloween coming up in a few days I thought it would be a good time to show this music video which stays with the theme of the holiday. This came out during the peak of the "horror core" era of hip-hop (also the last year of hip-hop's golden age), and these guys were in the forefront of it. This track and video is still as bizarre and downright hilarious as it was when I first saw it.

    Man, I miss this era.

I've tracked, and know quite of bit of Yuzo's work, and I like that someone took the time to list out the influences of my favorite composer of all time.

I found out earlier this week that the Ruff Ryders compilation album will be called Past, Present, Future. It's supposed to drop on November 22. And I did see "Showtime" included in the track listing.

For me personally (since I believe in the G.O. Dizzle), I was glad to find artist like this so I could start listening to rap again. Goes harder than most of the stuff i've ever heard, but with a good message, ya know. For us and da kids right? ^_^

Same with Metal too. Off the Mirror of Souls Album, dope album. They got a new one coming out in a few days too, looking foward to that one.

His (vocalist, same band name) first album he made was all by his self lol, kinda wild. Was pretty dope too. Here's a song from it.

Damn! I'm not a big metal head, but I have to give props when they are due. Those two guitarists in the Animals As Leaders band in gastinell's post are amazing. That band really don't need a vocalist to carry their tunes if they continue to bang out incredible instrumental joints like "CAFO".

Wow... that chick Lady Leshurr got crazy flow and she's funny. (Props to CherryBlossom for sharing the video.) She had me laughing a lot. Plus it seemed like she kicked all that off the top of her head which would be absolutely incredible if true, but it's hard for me to tell. Anyway, the only problem I had with that video is I just couldn't stand that beat she got busy on. *sigh* Call me a stubborn, old fashioned hip-hop head, but what the hell... give me the hard, rugged, pounding, thumping boom-bap style breakbeats coming from drums that I can nod my head to over these lightweight synthesizer-laced, bubble gum pop-influenced tinkerbell breakbeats any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

And I have very same issue with Lecrae in that "Chase That" track. (Props to Tha FeuchA for sharing.) Lecrae has really good lyrics and flow, and also delivered an inspirational message in this track which is a bonus. However, I strongly dislike the beat.

I'll give other tracks on this page a listen later once I get the chance.
