Thanks for the info Reno... I really hope this gets released on consoles so I can stop playin' Tekken.

I really hope this gets released to consoles; it's time to put away the controller and take out the arcade stick.

Meh...Tekken 6:BR is now almost 4 years old in Japan.

Still good news for VF, but dunno if the chart means a lot with chaotic situation in Japan.

I hope at the very least VF5R is released to consoles. I'm pretty sure it would have very little effect on arcades since everyone has moved on to VF5FS.

Seeing this just pisses me off knowing I will never get to play it.

Don't take any of this as confirmation of no port.

They are perfecting the game in the arcade and can still announce a release for this year. That said, they wouldn't want to leave it longer than E3.

And it better have a robust set of features for point of difference as a console port.

I can't see them doing it, but a full story mode for VF5 on console would make a lot of difference in getting more fans. Everything else they do is pretty good. Multiplayer online will need lobbies also.

    I was wondering this too.

  10. Thanks for the info Reno, glad to see the rebound system changed (it gets awfully silly if you are cornered behind walls), even though I am quite sure Final showdown players will find lots of ways around this system.

Cant wait for a confirmation of actually thinking of having the thought of thinking to release this awesome game to consoles ports.

Given that fact, why stress. surely we're all past the point of waiting on tender hooks? It either happens or it doesn't. Either way, we've got VF5 which is awesome.

Can't argue with that good point and I guess having VF5 is something....right?

Yeah I'm surprised T6BR is still getting that much play... Maybe the TTT2 hype boosted the sales, eh???

I am very much hoping for Sega to at the very least cough in our direction of a console port and bring the hype back that could very well die off... Too many fighters (both good and bad) have come out and more are still on the way...

shockingly enough i think masterpo was right. at lease i believe it was him that first told us about the rumors of sega's new home console. i mean on other game sites had more stories like his with links to the sources. so what could be happening is thier holding VF back till this console makes it's appearance. XD that's only a guess XD don't kill me please. XD

Yes Sega will release a new version of the Commodore 64 complete with 1 meg of Ram. They will downgrade FS to run on the console :p

In all seriousness I really hope that's just one of those rumors that comes and goes like a bad tummy ache. The latest I'm gonna wait is E3 if there's nothing by then it's not going to happen I think. Then again this is the same Sega that gave us Yakuza 4....

Nah, Sega's too broke to think about a console release... They just hold and renew the patents so no one else can do anything with it, even though there are still companies around that make games for it still...

Simply put, SEGA doesn't want to release FS, period... Otherwise it would've been some talk or buzz about it that actually held some weight... Trust me, I hope I'm eating my words within the next couple of months, but from the way things are looking, Guilty Gear XXX, Smash Bros <insert synonym for fight>, Super Slow Masher 2 Upper 3DTV Remix, or Time Killers 2 could come out before VF5FS...

Well, Marlyjay is right about us having VF5 ver.C, I just hope I don't get sued by Sega for trying to build hype to a 5-year-old game to get people to play it...

Ya it's been too long, I've only been visiting this site mostly to see if there's any upcoming news of a console release.

More than 5 years is long overdue and I still have remaining hopes that VF5 FS will be released just as Duke Nukem is gonna be released.

I don't really care if the game comes or not now, it's taken so long the hype for new games don't even bother me anymore.

Rather just play VF5 questmode at least that way u get to face someone considering online mode is good as empty at times.
