blackburn and leeds are roughly the same distance from edinburgh, leeds probably marginally closer, but that could mean fuck all if it means the train has to go some wanky west coast route. I checked, and you're looking at a 5 hour hike on the train.

Yea, that's the problem with our shonky rain service. It only takes 4.5 hours to get from Edinburgh to London, yet 5 hours to get to Leeds. Tis bollocks, I say.

Would love to come Shaun but don't think I could handle the journey, sorry.....

If you get a train from Scotland straight to Manchester, then there is a train from Victoria station straight to Darwen! that isn't too much of a travel really is it?
I will even meet you in Manchester if I have finished work, but I can definitely meet you at Darwen station, and from there we will have to walk 2 minutes to my house. Surely you can manage this, coz you can stay over Friday night and/or Saturday night, so it will mean alot of games.

from what I can ascertain, there are no direct trains from edinburgh to manchester either.

That can't be right! there must be a train to one of the three stations. If not, you could get a train to Leeds like before, then you can get a train straight to Blackburn, and then your only a 2 minute taxi ride from where I live.

It really is shocking how crap our rail network is. We could learn a few things from the Japanese all right. As well as some Final Tuned cabinets we could do with a few Nozomi 500's:



Not only is this train named after Ryo's girlfriend, it also travels at 400km/h. It would get us from Edinburgh to Leeds in 45 mins! A few years not paying for the Royal family and we'd be able to afford a few.

Ok, Ade asked if I could move the meeting to the 2nd of June. Does this sound ok with you guys?

Ok, Due to much gayness, the meeting is going to have to be moved back to some time in July. Sorry for all the changes, I'll have more details later in the week

I'm still breathing last time I checked.

I'm free on thursdays and have a much more comfortable room for gaming in now. It's US T5 I have though, never bothered to check if they made any changes.
