I forgot I was going to a gig this wednesday (bloc party, nice...). So that means no VF again this wednesday evening, and I'm really sorry. I really need the practice before I go to Leeds with Li and I don't think I'll get a chance now so I'll just have to take my defeats on the chin that weekend.

I promise normal service will be resumed soon, assuming you guys are interested.

That's a shame. I need some practice as well. I'm very looking foward to the leeds meeting now. Just bought fire emblem gba for the 12hours train journey.

have you got any decent GBA games I can borrow? thinking along the lines of RPG's.

Either that or I get off my skinny ass and buy one.

Don't worry about not getting much practice, I think that, with the exception of me and Andy, you two will be them best guys at the meeting. (Although Dan might give you some trouble if he decides to come, but I am not sure if he is coming or not).

MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR STICKS WITH YOU!!!!!

the other two gba games I have is SF Z3 and Metroid zero mission, I'll bring them if you are interested. I always trade in my gba games when I finish them, so I don't have many games on hand /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

VF?......*thinks for a moment*....oh yea, that fighting game we used to play back in the day.

No problems, I'm sorry I haven't been able to provide an alterbative venue but I've been very busy lately.

Hope Li and yourself have a good time in Leeds.

I know nobody would care, but my evo system file corrupted yesterday. Gone is my character records of more than 9000 matches(5000 with Shun, 2800 with Lau, 1000 with Wolf and a few hundred with Kage and Pai) /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Guess it's time to have a break now, it's hard to say goodbye to a game you played for one and half a year though /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

9000 matches! Are you talking Quest matches? Jesus......I think I have only 500-600 quest matches logged total. I could never endure playing the CPU that number of times.

As for VF, as others have said I think everyone's having a break, and not just us but the whole community. I'll be available for any future VF, although perhaps I'll be too old for it by the time VF5 appears (goodbye 20s..... /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif:)

Hopefully the website will stop crashing by the time FT or VF5 hits home.....it's becoming extremely problematic even visiting this community now.

I've been loaded with coursework and and proper work recently. Didn't even have a single day free for the last month. Only been able to play a bit of 3rd Strike with the NTSC-UK bunch. All is going to change when I get my hands on Halo 2 tomorrow. 'Work won't matter' as I've taken a holiday. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Guys, just to give an early heads up, I am thinking of organising a meeting at my house, coz I have found a couple of good players who would fit nicely into our skill level (Kain, only been playing for 6 months or so, and when he came to manchester he held his own (Gray Ham and Li played him) and Dan, who uses Lion and is bloody good).
don't know the exact details, as I need to find out when everyone can travel, but it might be sometime around easter.
Anyone heard from Ryan recently, I heard he was giving the game up......

Well I still play, but not in Edinburgh anymore. I quit my job and moved back north to Inverness (aiming to go self-employed). I sometimes play with my brothers and I'm also looking to do some travel and play soon.

Some friends and I have a London trip planned for Feb 25th - 27th. I'll be heading to the Troc to find some competition over that weekend. Good to see others are still playing.

Woah! You didn't tell us about you moving away. Hope everything goes your way up there. I'll be looking forward for your developments if you're still in the field of computing and stuff.

I would've mentioned but the Edinburgh scene was dead by then, so not much point really. I'm working on my own project up here, while doing a temp job to take in money. It's nice actually...I can hillwalk and snowboard when I want and my bothers play fighting games...so.

I still travel to Edinburgh for weekends and stuff. So if the scene down there ever picks up again I might be able to make the odd session.
