i thoroughly agree. all fighting games should be removed from arcades, because i can play them at home so what's the point?

Well personally I'd rather see the arcade industry flourishing again, so we'd all be able to gather at the arcade and play our fighting games on the proper hardware.

If anything, the need for good console ports has come from the degeneration of the arcade industry. If arcades we more available, and better, there'd be no market for home conversions.

Stroppa, do you think it's possible for the gatherings to be shifted to evenings in your new place? That way I actually get to attend.

Hi guys, I know it'll probably be a few weeks before you get out of your comas and read this but oh well

I had a good time and have to say I thought we all did pretty well. Congrats to Graeme for beefing me in the team tournie and to Ryan for......well I'm sure you'll have done something worth congratulating at some point so congrats for that, pity we didn't play but I'm sure there'll be another time... /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well I only slept for 6 hours or so and I'm beginning to nod off again so I'm going to try and sneak an hour of sleep. I'd write more but I can't concentrate.

well, my wednesdays are now fully booked because of uni, so I don't know what's going to happen to regular VF. And Fridays my only free afternoon, so I guess I'm a bit screwed.

I don't have my time table yet but I know that I'll have one day free if they haven't changed the time table since last year. Don't think uni work will be too demanding, always find time for VF anyway. I'm free most days at the moment.

it's quite funny how hard it is to make a relevent comment on your thread, it seems that you really do just use it for organising VF meets. you should have wars like me and Ade, or discuss totally random issues that are in no way related. i only say this because i have not talked to you for a while, and i don't want you to think i am ignoring you.

With all the talk of "afternoons" I take it nobody is interested in playing evening time during the week?

Pretty much as I understand it.

Graeme has a flatmate for the next couple weeks in his new venuie, maybe after that he could host an evening session one weekend or something.

I've manage to find myself a shelf stacking job at Jenner's today so that should keep me busy for a few days a week. The pay is alright I guess for someone with not a lot of experience. What have you lot been up to? /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Mind you don't drop anything.....it might cost you a months wages. I use Jenner's all the time as a short cut from Rose street to Princes street, I'll probably bump into you at some point.

Evening sessions might be a possibility, either on a wednesday or a saturday, and I doubt you guys are interested in sunday VF. Plus, yes...I have a lovely flat mate for the next week or so...which makes things tricky.

I too am desperate to play VF.

doing a spot of tidying today and I managed to fit steel battalion back in it's box. It felt like quite the achievment
