    *SIGH*

    [ QUOTE ]
Graeme, if Ryan does decide to pussy out, will you please still come, coz you will hold your own, (you will kill all of the usual crew from Manchester), and i want to see how well you do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm it's interesting you went on about about IronMike trash talking and then you go and do it yourself.

For the record Stroppa never played any of my characters and I never played any of his. So inferring he'd kill me (or anyone else here) is somewhat harsh and totally unfounded. Oh and I'm a scouser too, not a manc.

If you check the tourney thread you'll in fact see he lost in the first round to Das' Lion, 3-2.

You'll no doubt be delighted to hear that I can't make this. For starters I prefer relaxed play to leagues, and then there's the added fact that I suck so badly at Evo that travelling to Manchester to play would just be embarrassing /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Anyways, closer to home I was just thinking of suggesting an Edinburgh session at my place next weekend. Then I remember Li is away in China at the moment. Would the others still be interested in a wee session?

No tournaments or leagues, just some chilled out Evo play, and whatever else takes people's fancy.

    I'd be up for it.

you got a date, I'm on holiday a week on sat, that'd be extra perfect.

(yeah I did just say extra perfect)

I'll be up for that since I'm not doing much anyway. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Don't know about Manchester, I'll go if I improve massively but I doubt that will happen.

2nd part of the first sentence is a waste of binary.

As for the 2nd sentence, how could I ever beat a master such as yourself, some of my play is based on stuff you've written. I bow to you /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    That sounds perfect.

Edit - Since there will be only 4 of us someone should really bring some pads for topspin.

Wow, thanks for the compliment. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As for the for the first sentance, yeah I should have just said "Stroppa and myself have never played one another".

were you thinking of a long session Stephen?

IF so, I'll bring down extra pads etc for various consoles, and maybe some games. I pre-ordered third strike for the PS2 but no idea when I'll get it.

No idea yet. If it's a long session feel free to bring along whatever. The tv rental place is dragging their heels over reclaiming the other telly so looks like we'll have two set-ups again.

As well as Evo I quite fancy a spot of DOA2 if someone will play me. Looking forward to the Xbox live incarnation.

Chris, i only meant that in my opinion he would win, i wasn't trying to dis you or anything. when i said that mike had been talking trash, i was talking about when he said stuff about hagis, and when i was playing him, he was saying stuff about them not even having electricity. (plus, i was really just trying to get people to come down, using as many lowly tactics as possible).
shame you guys won't come down, but i guess it is just less people for me to cripple.............. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

DLC is not that hard if you keep practicing it.
Andy can do it everytime, and he is on a pad, so you shouldn't find it that hard once you practice. i can do it about 80% of the time, the main problem i have, is that, after pressing [3][K]+[G], [6]+[P], i press too many [4], and not enough [6], so i end up screwing up. the best thing, is to just put all the button presses in without looking at the screen, just look at your pad and do the motions, regardless of how slow you think you might be doing it, i find that you get more time than you think to put the last move in. failing this, you could just do [3]+[G]+[K], [6]+[P], [8] and then either [P]+[K] or [2]+[K]. this is what Andy used to do to me all the time.....

Hi guys, it's me. Finally get back on the internet. I hope you all are doing well. I put up quite some weight during last two weeks, next time we meet you may not recognise me /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Last week I entered a VF tournament held in Beijing. There are around 60 players entered the tournament. The format is like the tournament we played in Manchester, if you lose 1 match, you are out. I past the first two rounds, and then lost to a Lion player and got eliminated in the 3rd round. My hatred towards Lion deepens again /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif The final is between an Akira and a Vanessa player, Akira wins.

I also played lots of VF in the local arcade. Most of the time I got my ass handed to me in pieces. There are around 10 people here who can get 10 wins streaks against me. I managed to get my Shun to 2nd Dan, and the winning rate is around 40%, then some 10yrs old little bastard stole my VF card, #@%#@^$%^

Now I'm back in my hometown, and there are no VF machine or players here. Plus I didn't bring my PS2 with me, so next two months I'm completely out of practice. I think everyone of you will be able to handle me easily when I get back to Edinburgh /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

hey Li, good to hear from you, not so good to hear you lost, but at least you made it through a few rounds, so well done there.
it is a shame you don't have a PS2, but i find that sometime, taking a break from the game can be good for your play, because you lose all your little habbits, and pick up new ones, so your opponents find it hard to keep up.
hope you are enjoying yourself at home, have a good time.

Sorry I didn't post sooner but Saturday is out now I'm afraid. Friday evening is a possibility however. My plans are fairly set in-stone but Debs's are always changing.

If you guys are willing to just come over Friday if I give the green light later in the week, that'll be cool. Sorry in advance for the wank-ness of these arrangments.
