I will be able to make it around 1:00pm. I will bring my stick, stroppa's puzzle fighter, and anything you need me to bring along.

Faded, can I meet up with you somewhere before we go to Stephen's place? I have big trouble finding streets and addresses /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'll bring my SC2 stick along with me then. Three SC2 sticks should be enough or do you want me to bring my GC one as well? /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I shouldn't have any problems finding the place, as its quite close to town if I'm correct.

Li - I'll probably be at the waverly from about 12:30 on the off chance their train gets in early. I'll probably be around the wh smiths. If you want to some meet me there between 12:30-12:45 then we can all taxi it to stephens together.

Thanks to Anthony and Faded for offering to bring their PS2s. Probably best if Faded brings his as he'll be arriving first with the Leeds guys. I take it you're bringing a PAL PS2? If it's Jap let me know so I can secure an NTSC TV from work.

    Ok, address for the gathering:

    Flat 2F1
    27 Bellevue Crescent

My mobile is: 07717712502 (feel free to add me to your mobile contacts)

To get to the flat go down Broughton Street, past the big roundabout and veer into the left-hand crescent. My flat is at the end of this crescent. I'll make sure the buzzer is labeled "S Mackintosh & D Kilpatrick".

Now I need to find time to practice. Might be difficult as work is a bitch at the moment.... I think I'm going to get thrashed on Saturday /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Good stuff. Looks like the 2nd set-up will only be a small TV...never mind, better than nothing.

So what exactly have you been doing at all those weekly gatherings?

I ain't played a human opponent since about two months, but then I'm shite anyway so have nothing to gain by making excuses /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    Mostly we play puzzle fighter.

I personally just can't seem to bother myself for vf anymore. I think i've played it a little too much over the past year.

Good to see you're enthusiastic then...

It's fair to say even VF4 has a shelf-life, although fighting new folk is always an interesting experience. I'm personally looking forward to seeing these pad users in action.

these pad users? THESE PAD USERS!? THESE PAD USERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
boy i am gonna whoop you slilly /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif (thats right, the mad face is out)

um, not to sound thick, but is chinese or indian spicy, coz i cant even eat onion or pepperoni as its too much, so should i bring some sandwiches or somthing?

Faded, i get what you mean about not playing VF much. i find it hard to motivate my self to play the game, i find it is much easier to sit and play final fantasy games over and over again.
still, i will rip all you guys apart with my "always attacking" jacky!
btw, short notice, but my little bro want to come to, he plays Lei Fei and he is quite good with him, so you might want me to bring him along, what say you?

    Re: Edinburgh VF

I didn't mean the pad remark negatively. And for the record, I don't play VF to WIN all the time because that's just lame, although now you've come over all aggressive I'll gain much satisfaction if I do manage to win some bouts against you.

Not sure there's going to be anywhere for your other brother to stay. I'm pretty much limiting my place to one person staying over, as Faded has offered to accomodate your other brother.

Chinese food is generally not spicy, Indian is. Don't worry Edinburgh will cater to your meal-time requirements. I'm pretty sure there's a chippie near the flat and as I said before a tescos.

    re: bringing your brother.

It's your call but if he stays here he'll have to share a double futon with andy and since it looks increasingly likely you will be spending all sunday here before coming home the four of us fitting into my bedroom would be seriously cramped. So personally I would advise against it but if he does decide to come then he's welcome to stay here. Tickets could be a bit pricy at this point though, getting on the same trains as you could be impossible.

re:playing vf. I'm usually fine when we get together but up until about febuary of this year I used to actually practice a lot in my (rather large amount of) spare time. Then my tv broke and I've never really been able to get into the habit of practicing regularly since then and I've watched my level of play spiral down from kind of average to borderline piss poor /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif But I'm sure Li can put a respectable showing in for edinburgh vf in my absence. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Elite and EV2's little brother can sleep in my wheelie bin, but other than that I've no idea where else he can go.

Doesn't look like you're going to need any of my stuff, so all I can say is that I'll try and get there asap from work. I wouldn't expect to be there before 6pm, which is a shame, but I'll try and make the most of the time that I get to play.

I hope my book hasn't gone missing in the move stephen /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Don't worry, your book is still here. It acted as a useful door-stop during the flit.... /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If you get here by 6pm you should still get loads of play time. There's no real limit on when the session needs to stop so assuming folk don't wimp out early it should be a good session.

Maybe we should take a break from VF a few hours before stroppa arrives so we're not vf'ed out by the time he arrives? Some 2D fighters should bridge the hole nicely.

ok, i wasnt really agressive, i was pretending, like that 'random' dude who takes everything really seriously, sorry if you got the wrong idea....

i dont think my little bro can make it, what with the prices and the train being different.
um, will we need to bring anything with us? (games, consoles, money, pads, anything like that)

just to let y'all know, i sleep on average about 13 hours a day, so if i stay up after that, i will probably be knacked, so dont expect any great performances later on into the night. andy on the other hand sleeps for an hour once a week, so he will be fine all night long.

This is why you will stay at stephens and will stay with me /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Bring MvC2 as I haven't played it in years. Andy and I can play it at mines later on. Should bring pads for yourselves just to be on the same side.

When you get off the train at edinburgh waverly, barely off the platform there are a series of shops and benches (your standard train statin benches where everyone sits and waits for their train to arrive) I'll meet you at the benches outside the wh smiths there.

Like I said I'll call you friday 6pmish and make sure everything is set.

Well I'm out this Friday and probably won't get back till 3am, so don't expect any intelligent activity from me whatsoever Saturday lunch time. I'll probably start waking up late afternoon. On the off-chance that I sleep in Saturday just give the buzzer a few extra rings

My usual alarm-clock (Debs) won't be around Saturday to make sure I get up.

Discovered today a dude at my work plays VF4. He says he's killer with Lei Fei. I let him know about Saturday so he could be turnning up at some point.

The more the merrier, as they say.

Hope I'll do better this time round and get revenge on Andy for knocking me out of the tournament at Manchester. I'll bring along Guilty Gear X2 and Capcom vs SNK2 just to see if we can get any 2D action going.
