I don't have any sleeping bags but if you don't mind splitting up somebody could stay on stephens sofabed and someone else can come here and sleep on my futon as i'll be able to give them duvets and blankets and all that shite.

If nothing better comes up you can hang around at mines on sunday and then i'll take you uptown and make sure you get your train back ok.

I could have sworn I saw a copy of MvC2 at your house Shaun. Where's the 2d love?

Anyways everything sounds fine and we'll work out any kinks if they happen. Of course I'll meet you at the station.

Though come to think of it I still have no fucking clue how to get to stephen's new place/.

I'm looking into possibly having my house free on the sunday so if that's the case then maybe anyone interested in continuing the VF business could come up to mine for a little bit of extra room on the sunday, I'll shift things about a bit to make sure there is more room (move the effing table for a start).

    Thanks for the help guys.

Faded, it might be a good idea having one of the guys over at yours. That way both at least have some level of comfort.

Turns out I should be able to borrow an extra telly from work for the event so it just remains to bring some games and consoles to break up the VF onslaught. Just so you know I currently have an Xbox, PS2 and Dreamcast already set up in the lounge.

I'll PM the new address nearer the time.

Well I'm presuming graeme has everything covered on the console front so I don't really know if there is anything else I could bring. He has most of the good multiplayer games I do already anyways.

Graeme - just let me know if you're wanting a hand transporting shit during the day.

Li - how you getting on with puzzle fighter? /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Went through the tutorial demo yesterday and learnt how to play the game. But setting up high damage chained combos are still too hard for me. It all depends on luck at the moment. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

it's all about keeping cool and composed when you're up to your eyeballs in gems and then waiting patiently for that one crystal that'll save your ass and win the game.

I'm liking the sound of Lion's new moves, particularly the new sabaki on [P] [G] [K]. Can't wait to see some screen-shots of the new stages.

I still can't fully believe the new info on Akira and Kage. They sounds too good to be true /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif And "Lau's upper knife don't float on MC, he looks really sick now", it sounds more like a joke /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The news on Shun is more reliable to me since someone on VFDC actually played him. It seems the drunken stance will play a more important part in Shun's game, and the fake drinking motion -> fast mid attack sounds very clever but I don't know if it worth the risk

Think it will work as people will now have to think twice before they attack you, where as you would just get launched in Evo. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
    [8][6][2][4][G]+[P] for the ninja /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Faded should input that even when we are playing Evo.

Good stuff, I'm looking forward to this session, should be fun.

What time is everyone arriving? I take-it Faded and the Leeds guys will get to mine about 1pm-ish,and stroppa's already mentioned he'll be 5-ish. How about the rest?

I'll get some Coke and crisps in for people to snack on. Might be an idea to chip-in together for some proper food later on. There's a chinese and Indian near the flat, and a Tescos about 5 mins away.

    Broughton Road tesco I assume?

Anyway, I'll run down what consoles I can bring and you can tell me what you want.

JP PS2 (not sure what we'd play on it though, WE7i perhaps?)
    PAL PS2
PAL PS1 (just incase the puzzle fighter doesn't work out on the ps2)
    JPN DC
    PAL DC
Xbox(I really can't see this being needed though)
    PAL Saturn
    PAL N64

that's about it, when you let me know what you want out of that I'll ask about games.

Also, Sunday at mines is looking a bit iffy.

    Yep, that's the one.

I'm not too fussed about specific games to play when we're not VF'ing, just whatever other folk want. One thing that does matter is we have an extra PS2 available for the start of the session.

Faded, can you bring your PS2 with you so we can get two set-ups running straight away?

I can bring along my PS2 and/or my GC if anyone wants. I think I'm going to try and make it for around 1400-1500.

I should be able to bring my ps2 with me. As well as my stick.

Soeaking of which everyone with an sc2 stick please remember to bring it as it makes the button config thing a lot easier.

    Re: Edinburgh VF

I'm going to be busy on wednesday, so there won't be any VF at my place on wed. Apologies for that.

How is the button config easier with SC2 sticks, aren't the pad set-ups the same as the evo stick? or is there a way to configure them all with the sc2 stick?

    Re: Edinburgh VF

The pad set up is type c ala sc2 stick

its actually strangely comfortable i tried it out the other day

maybe ill go back to pad skills yo!

it would make finding a comfortable sitting position ten times easier thats for sure.

if anyone wants to come here to play sometime this week other than friday just let me know. i could do with a warm up as i have not touched the game at all

stephen - could you pm me your address so i know where im going come saturday. your phone number would be good as well so i can give you call should i have trouble finding it
