I haven't forgotten that I'm supposed to be hosting a weekend session soon. Assuming the flat move goes smoothly the weekend of 1st May is looking promising. There'll be loads of room for gatheings in the new place.

I've just spent 3 hours in IKEA tonight trying to get stuff for the flat. That store is a place of pure evil, willing you to buy useless shite you don't need. There's something about a large arrangement of £1.99 Woks in a cage that makes you believe you need one of the fuckers. On this occasion I resisted.

Btw, hope you guys had some good games today.

I got lost in IKEA once, no kidding. The store is designed to not let you out until you buy something. In the end I sat in the cafe/restaurant bit and spent a small fortune on their shitty food, and then asked for help, but the assistant told me, 'go left, admire the beautiful pine coffee tables, and then go straight ahead to the exit if you can bear not to buy one of them'.

    It's pure evil.

is Ikea that good/bad/addictive? my rather attractive next door neighbour says the place is cool, but i have never had the pleasure.
btw, maximum, are you in scotland? if so, do you think that me and andy could come up on your 1st of may meeting (cash permitting)?
do you know how much a ticket from leeds to scotland (what city btw) will cost????

I'd have done it by now but I'm having to hunt down the driver disk so I can take the capture card out of my old computer and install it in this one.

My living area is somewhat chaotic at the moment so it's a little difficult to get to where I suspect it is.

As an aside - Stroppa monday is cool. Do you have a spare dc boot disc? I haven't seen mines in forever.

I think your room as it is would work for a gathering. But it'd have to be more focused on 2 people sitting on the futon for maybe a first to 3 or 5. That way they can sit down and play, and the others can watch or whatever, then when it's their turn they can sit and play. Winner stays on would be messy. It's messy as it is tbh .

does any of that make sense?

dammit, can we come up or not, we need to know so we can book the tickets......... i wanna kick all your asses!
btw, who would you say was the 'best' out of you guys, is there anyone who gives Faded any trouble?

Faded, find the card thing and get the replays up, ya?

hope we can sort something out soon.

p.s. will you be able to make it to manchester on the 15th, Iron Mike will be coming down, so you can whoop him bad too, ya?

    Re: Edinburgh VF

I think it's fair to say I probably won't ever go to manchester again.Nothing against the place but I can travel less time to play better people and having to make two train connections is a nightmare. Anyways I'm el skinto.

I believe Li is much better than me for the past couple months or so, but that's personal opinion.

As for coming up i have no idea if anything is actually happening or not. But if it is the gathering would be happening in the evening so you'd be looking at staying overnight and going home the next day. But whether or not the gathering woulda actually happen that night is known only by stephen im afraid.

Saying that even if it didn't happen I'm pretty sure Graeme, Li and myself could make sure you didn't want for opponents all day. No idea if anthony would be up for it.

The best train fare you'd get would be around the £40 region each. Harsh I know.

    Fuck off, I'm lazy!

Actually I'm going to look today.

    Probably.

If no one else can host the pair of you overnight. (and you dont mind a quick trip to the ghetto) my ps2 is in my spare room which has a double futon in it you can sleep on if you want. Comfort is not guaranteed.

If you stay here you are obligated to play vf with me till the early hours though /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Maybe stroppa can host you but his wife probably won't let him.

all night sounds good, my stamina isn't too good though, i might turn into a zombie, you know? still, it all sounds good.
p.s. i sleep on a bed with a plastic matrass, comfort is something of an alien idea to the likes of this VF'er.....

p.p.s. stop being so lazy. you just dont want people to see you getting 'whipped in no time!'......

make sure y'all let me know whats going on, ya?

pfffffffffft like I give a toss. I think most people are aware I am very sucky indeed at vf.

To be honest someone else will have to do that as I'm clueless. I'm not the one that hosts the gatherings as I don't really have room for many people.

Anyways you're welcome to play here all night. (You can help me look for the capture card disk /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif) But for anything better than that somebody else would have to be able to host games during the daytime.

Maybe graeme can lock his wife in the closet for saturday evening.

Hey guys. Unfortunately May 1st is looking unlikely now. I’ve just moved flat this weekend and still have loads to do. Sorry I couldn’t mention this earlier but I don’t have home internet at the moment.

Once it’s all sorted though I’ll arrange a decent gathering for the usual suspects and any of the North England punks who’d dare step on our home turf….. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif Crashing at my flat won’t be a problem – loads of room for sleeping bags or whatever.

I’ll post back on the situation as soon as I catch my breath and get everything sorted. Moving flat is fucking knackering business....
