well you wont need two cables since if i bring my ps2 i'll have an rgb cable with it.

Stroppa plays (in my opinion of order of quality)
Lei > jacky > wolf > brad
he's also a recent goh convert.

Faded: Good point. Bring it then. Got any ideas as to how we can make it so you guys don't end up playing each other all the time? Also, how many of you are definites?

seems like all four of us are coming but wont know for sure until we buy the tickets

as for avoiding playing each other i have no idea. i dont think its really possible if all four of us are coming.

It wont really be a problem since with only 6 people and 2 setups everyone will pretty much be playing all the time. The last meet we had over in Manchester was the same and it worked out pretty well (much better than the one you guys came down for)

Anyway I might practice with Vanessa since the lure of beating you all with your own characters is quite tempting /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ooooh! Aren't we just bursting with confidence? Pity it's misplaced since I seem to remember CREAAAAAMING you with all Excellents. Ok, maybe not but I still won /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif


Shaun reckons he's got the measure of LiMengs' Shun now too (although I think he is just bitter about losing) so it looks like grudge rematches will be the order of the day. I'm looking forward to playing against him too since his Shun looked tastier than mine and I don't think we got chance to have a match at all (due to certain parties hogging the machine).

Just out of curiosty, how early are you likely to be able to arrive? And if you're staying a while then what's everyone's food preferences? There's a chippy down the street from me but I dunno what you guys like so just drop some hints and I'll see what I can do.

One last thing, there might be a chance of me getting my younger half bro to come so it'll give you someone else to play. Not sure if he's any good but he used to be quite handy with Lei Fei and he reckons he's improved alot. He's coming round to mine towards the end of March so if he's decent I'll invite him back over for when you guys come down. That cool with you?

I'm actually not that confidant at all. I'm well out of practice, so I'm pretty resigned to losing for the first hour or so. Until I get warmed up.

as for what time I get there I dunno, i dont mind catching early trains but I don't want the pair of you getting up earlier than you normally would.

I get up before 5am alot of the time and I hardly sleep anyway. I'd say the earlier the better since you're coming so far we might as well play alot to make it worthwhile. Come on the first train, leave on the last for all I care. Not a problem

Just like to say that I appreciate the effort you're making to come down here. If it goes well then I'm sure we'll return the favour in the near future (providing we're welcome to of course) and come up there to play you.


Oh yeah, almost forgot. We're gonna dedicate Shaun's memory card to a new file for when you come down. It'll be all wiped and stuff so everyone will know exactly how well they're doing on the day without actually having to remember themselves.

So, if you can let me know who everyone uses (I've already got a fair idea but just to be on the safe side) and point out who their "main" character is just so I can make sure everyone at least gets a file for it. I don't think any 3 people play the same character but it's always nice to check.

yeah i wouldnt bother putting me on lei, vane or lion, other than that it looks fine.

I'll try and remember to bring a memory card so we can have a system file on each ps2.

Ok cool, set it up before you come down since it's bound to be time consuming. We can do combined win ratios at the end of the day to see how it turns out.

Stating the obvious but everyone will have to make do with the "default" looking characters since playing quest will screw up the ratios. I guess if anyone wins an item or something they can equip it just for a bit of variety. (oh how I'll miss my super jet hair)
