I've been messing about with Lei-Fei, though he's not up to gathering standard by a mile, I like dancing though.

 

I spent 4 hours with aoi at one point yesterday.

I'm never going to play her in my own home again but I might break her out on wed. Just cause it will be funny if I win with a character i've put four hours into. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Nah actually I'm starting to feel like getting back into vf again and see if I can't raise my game some on wednesday.

 

Too bad I can't see these videos>_< I can't view them with the PCs in my university department. Hopefully I will get broadband at home in a few weeks.

About Wednesday gathering, someone in my project group told me today that there will be a group meeting on Wednesday. So I don't know if I can make it. Sorry guys /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif, I will inform you after I get the time of the meeting.

Talking about new characters, I was practising Akira yesterday. Now I can do SPOD and DLC and modified white tiger double palm without much trouble. But there is still a long way to go before I can use him in the gathering.

Be a shame if you can't make it. I was really looking forward to wednesday since this is the first time in ages I've actually spent a lot of time at home with Evo.

I quite like the feel of Lei-Fei now that I half know what I'm doing with him but I see loads of weaknesses /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

and ihave this suspicion you've spent more than 4 hours on lei but sure.

Should make it kinda fun, and stop it beng too one sided with li not being there.

 

My Lei has about 70 or so matches under his belt, plus the time it takes to do tactics advice and some time in Free mode, I'm sure by wednesday it'll be more than 4 hours, but I fully expect to get humped by any character, I'm just looking to adapt him into a versus style.

 

I think my aoi has something like 20 matches, I guess I may have overestimated the time spent.

And I stopped playing her cause I was getting beaten in arcade 2.

So I dare say I might get ownzered.

 

Anthony says he 'should' be coming and also said something about a 'secret weapon'.

Make of that what you will?!

Yea, Aoi's hard work to win with, even against some of the moderate quest AI.

Should be some fun matches between you guys tomorrow. Let us know how you get on with the new characters.

Fantastic matches today, I really had a good time. I really like the five win cap seems to keep things a lot more fresh.

Seriously that's some of the most interesting vf I've had in a while. Everyone's game seems to have raised a bit. There wasn't a single match where I basically got the 'free win' feeling which I must admit to having in the past. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Stroppa - love the lei. Keep at it, I am certain you're goping to have your day with him soon. Much better than 'RARGH here comes WOOOOOLF'

Dark - Your vanessa makes me nervous now. We had so many 3-2 matches. You also beat Li three times in a row, that speaks volumes in itself.

Li - Firmly established as my nemesis now. I will get that 3rd dan first. /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

oh yeah, I thought it was the best wednesday gathering in a while. More of the matches should've been saved but there's nowt we can do about that now. When I looked over the sheet I think there were very few 3-0 defeats for anyone, I know my developing lei had a few at the hands of Faded's Goh though /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Faded should so stick to Aoi as well, lets all try to pick up as many characters as possible /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Maybe for a future evening session we could have everyone having to play their whole selection of characters against someone elses.

Such as...

Faded versus Li
Match 1 - Goh versus Shun
Match 2 - Goh versus Wolf
Match 3 - Goh versus Lau
Match 4 - Akira versus Shun
Match 5 - Akira versus Wolf
Match 6 - Akira versus Lau
Match 7 - Jeff versus Shun
Match 8 - Jeff versus Wolf
Match 9 - Jeff versus Lau
etc
etc
and so on and so forth.

It would be 9 matches between 2 people but it could be fun.
I think most of 'scottish crew' probably have 3 characters they could probably use. Anthony would be the only sticky one, Vanessa and Lau, but he said he'd been training up a Lei-Fei as well.

could maybe even fit it in on a wednesday. 72 matches when there is 4 people, 90 when there is 5(I think, assuming everyone plays each other once)

 

And while im at a quick count of todays results (emphasis on quick, with a not typed yet heavily implied, possibly incorrect.) has the score at

28, 16, 8, 8

 

nah i just dont like the idea of having to play all your characters. especally since i'm trying to play goh 90% of the time now.

I think it's a good idea. We could try it in a future session or use this rule in our next league match. But in the long run I'd like to focus on improving my main character, while playing other characters just for fun.

To Rayne: We are going to meet at the front door of the cinema on 1:00pm Saturday right? Just checking if I remember the time correctly.

somebody's probabbly going to get to 3rd dan on saturday, i don't know if i can handle the pressure.
