Should be interesting to see your Lion in action. My play with him is sucking badly....got wasted by another (good) Lion player on the VS cabinets in London.

I'm thinking of getting back into Aoi - just need to find some time to practice before next Wednesday (next wednesday still looking likely to be an evening session stroppa?)

Yeah, possibly tuesday as well actually, but that depends on whether everyone else is up for that as well.

At the troc I witnessed a really good Brad player. He knocked out the Lion player who was trashing my own. It was really impressive shit he was pulling-off...lots of floats and slipping antics, almost graceful to watch. Gained a bit more respect for Brad after watching him play.

I actually went on to defeat this guy twice with my Aoi a bit later on, then switched to Lion and got thrashed repeatedly. It's weird how big a difference character selection can make. I still conside myself pretty shit with Aoi too....I dunno maybe I just need to put more practice in. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Christ, I'm shit at describing folk.......let's see....the Brad player was a tall fairly well-build dude with stubble and a Benny cap. The Lion was played by an Asian guy....slim, could've been Korean or Chinese. Never recognised them from Gamefocus, but then I guess London has lots of VF players not represented on this board.

Next week will be a bit different.

I'm allegedly getting my new sofa on Saturday, though I take this with a pinch of salt and a hint of cynicism after Faded's Telly debacle. Should be a bit more space though hopefully.

Yeah! New sofas! (not that there was anything wrong with the old ones) Maybe it'll mean that all of us will be able to sit directly facing the TV with a patch of laminated flooring for Faded as well. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Got Crystal Chronicles today, had a little walk around the environment just to get the feel for it. Have some really swishy scenery and cute stuff. I'm not going play it until the next time we meet as its going to be quite boring to play by myself and it'll just spoil everything. You have a choice betweem 4 different class which are pretty similar to begin with but with varied stats according to the class. They all start with a sword, staff etc but with no magic, as they can be picked up from items after you defeat monsters. I've only gotten to the first area and I can already see a part which requires 2 players to operate a drawbridge. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can get game's own brand fairly cheap if i recall. How about we play ff:cc wed afternoon and switch up to vf evo at 6 or so?

incidently i've come to the conclusion that arc is the probably the msot boring game i've bought this year. I wish I had bought it from game so i could take it back.

If I had any sense I would have, but seeing as it came reccomended so highly from my good friend senior McDohl I thought such precautions surplus to requirements.

I'm killing you with my mind.

I'm quite digging the story actually, that's what's keeping me going with it. The combat I'm now finding very tedious and monotonous.

But hey, you can always trade it in against FFX-2.

Gamestation have a 7 day return policy, so you could always try going down to corstorphine and asking for a refund there.

The multi-player component to that games sounds really interesting - was just reading the review on Gamespot. Wouldn't mind having a look at it when we meet up next week.
