That's a new quote to me and I like it a lot. I've never read anything by george elliot but I came across a lot of his stuff in some various books of quotes I have. "Keep true, never be ashamed of doing right; decide on what you think is right and stick to it." In particular, while incredibly simple. has always stuck with me.

Anthony - Cheers for the offer but I reckon if I'm honest a week of practice isn't going to make much difference. I'm just going to accept it and go for it. And if I do perform terribly and try to use this as an excuse, someone please for the love of god give me a slap.

Another one I like:

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

For my own part I've kind of abandoned regular practice. If anything I find I'm a little sharper when I ease off the training sessions and play the game with a fresh mind. I'm not so sure how much good trying to study flow-charts and memorise combos does (for me anyway). My basic weakness seem to be fluffing inputs and not reacting quick enough.

Hey, me again.

I'm going shopping tonight (in one of those amazing things they call a "supermarket" or something /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif) so I'll load up on as many pringles/jaffas/doritos/cokes etc as I can afford. Does anyone have a preference for what flavours I get or should I just get a hearty selection?

The way things are shaping up I reckon we'll have about 14 guys including you guys at the very least so hopefully it'll be a busy day. I'll await you on details about when/where you're getting into manchester etc.

Good stuff. I'll try and arrange the place so there's a bit more room this time.

Would someone mind bringing along some extra Xbox controllers, as I've only got the two? Some doubles or singles topspin should break-up the session nicely. Anything else you guys want to play, just bring it along.

I'll get some local take-away menus in so folk can order food if they like.
