I'm ok with the ticket prices, I just feel kinda iffy to pay more for worse competition (no offense to any mancunians in the house /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif)

but it looks like the two trips thing might end up happening after all depending on costs so we'll see.

might be paying out more in travel, but it kinda levels off what you'd be paying in credits at the troc. Plus what if nobody decent is hanging around? We'd end up playing each other.

We should head for London sometime in march, and maybe organise something with some of our london friends. Team battles /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Sounds like the Manchester meet would be better for you guys seeing as it's already organised. My own trip to London in Feb will be motivated primarily by music and I might only spend a few hours at the Troc in total.

Still, I desperately need some practice before the 7th. What are the chances of us getting together for some weekend Edinburgh sessions? I'll do my part and try and get my own pad free between now and then. I'll keep you guys updated.

weekends are do-able if it's someone else's flat.

I work saturday afternoons but other than that, as some camp 70's comic would say, I'm free.

If by longer session you mean stretching it into Wednesday evening, then I could probably make it. Could be there for 6pm or thereabouts.

Just thought I'd post here to see how things were. Never actually checked this thread before /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif.

I've been reading through and I understand if anyone has trouble making it due to costs etc. so don't worry if you can't make it just let me know, whenever you do yourself.

I've sorted out a system file too:

Faded:Kage
Jackeh: Lei Fei
MrDark:Vanessa
LiMeng:Shun, Lau

If anyone wants more chars or wants them in a specific costume etc then let me know and I'll try and sort it out.

I've at least 5 of our players confimed thus far with about 4/5 don't knows/maybes.

Well as soon as you know anyhting for definate just post somewhere or PM.

Oh for the record theres only 2 of us that are actually Mancunians. I'm a scouser (laaaa eh eh you starting? etc.. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)and Elite and Shaun are from Leeds.

Well look forward to playing some of you sometime.

Yeah, til whenever you guys feel like you want to leave basically. I have the house free tuesday night and wednesday night. Pity i'm working tuesday though.

Yeah Stroppa it is then no probs. btw the shun, lei fei and vanessa have no play on them at all. What I tend to do is do all training modes (tut, tactics,missions, bit of challenge) with players' files to get them some money and hence items from the 1st shop. If players really want me to I'll do small bits of quest to get specific items and/or colours. Most players are fairly well customised now anyway except those with no play on.

Oh yeah your lei has surfer hair though (as you can get quest prize A by doing quest orders and not doing any full matches).

There isn't really any need to buy anything for my Vanessa as I'm fine with her default. Its not as if shes got any decent items anyway.

Should we get a little 4 player topspin in when stephen shows up so we can see who the daddy is?

Hopefully a long session will get me feeling a bit better about my play and make me start looking forward to feb 7th.

Assuming my car gets MOTd on Tuesday, I'll be at stroppa's place by 6pm Wednesday.

I must warn you guys that my play will be pretty sub-standard, and I'll just be happy to get a good beating from some human opposition for a change. Hopefully the session will motivate me to develop my game more in 2004.

Topspin would be fun......I've never played a proper doubles game yet.
