So the train ticket to go to manchester is going to run to about £65.

    Ouch.

I'll understand if this puts everyone else off coming.

Li says he'll be back around the 15th and yes he will be using the same phone number.

£65 isn't too bad I suppose. Where did you get the info from? Might be able to work something cheaper down at the train station.

I think they've mentioned 7th of feb as the date which might be a bit tough for me, it being a saturday /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Plenty of notice to try and work something out I suppose.

    you still up for it?

    Re: 'scottish crew'

Everything I expected it to be.

It's a lot of fun setting up characters to do team attacks and combo's. I'm experimenting with the item world just now so that I can cram statisticians into my weapons in order to gain more exp.

It's a bit mental how at the start you're at level 1 wandering about your castle and all your guards and monsters in the castle are level 3456 or thereabouts.

My only gripe is that you can't really escape from battle when you know you're about to get shafted. You can escape from the item world, but only if you have an item.

    I could go on...

to summarise, it's pretty deep, but not in an intimidating sense. If you were to back me up against a wall at knifepoint and make me decide, I'd still say Shining Force 3 was the daddy.

you get anything interesting at christmas?

Not really mostly all went on the new camera and some film.

    Fairly mundane really.

I also bought myself a hat which makes me look like an extra from ssx and I got tony hawk's under ground which has some nie touches but ultimately pales next to 3.

    Anyone planning on coming to manchester with me;

There is a fairly good chance you'll have your main character dressed to your specifications so if you would be so good to post your desired outfit here ahead of time it will save some on the day.

Plus it will give you a shade more personality in all the replays i am bound to save and capture

At the moment I'd say yes.

I'll be coming, I'll try my hardest to arrange the time off. I'm sure I have a special leave form kicking about somewhere /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But I won't mess anyone about if I can't make it.

But I want Lei, Silver robed with Silver hair in a surfer style. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

EDIT - I doubt your hat makes you look more of a fool than mine.

Hi everyone! Been very busy myself with a lot of family visits and all that with the New Year and Christmas. Always been interested in that Manchester meet but will have to have a look at my new timetable. It should be alright as I would have finished all my exams by then. Looks like I'll have to save up some Chinese New Year money. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I should be able to make it this wednesday. I've tried out some of those deadly 270 throws.

2 o'clock is good by me. I want to make sure I'm fully awake this time. Plus the room needs a serious clean. I might be getting a new sofa soon though, much wootage.

I really need to get round to some practice, but the level 12 statistician in a 'swordbreaker' is calling me... /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Not sure if either of you will see this, but perhaps one of you could bring a stick. One of mine seems to be a little bit off.

Decent games today people. Good to see people after the holidays. Play was a bit rusty at times but I think amongst the 3 of us we had some moments.

Li will be back soon to show us how it's done /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

and Stephen? you've gone quiet on us...

I think a combination of jet-lag and trying to re-aclimatize to an arctic climate has taken its toll on me. Give me a few days more and I'll be back to my usual forum antics.

I'm also back to work /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif so no Wednesday sessions for me I'm afraid.

On a positive note I don't suppose you chaps know about the offer in the Scotsman today and tomorrow? return fares to London from Edinburgh for £20!! A mate and I have already booked March 13th for some clubbing, and hopefully some VF on my part. I might be doing another trip in Feb sometime, but no confirmed dates yet. Perhaps an Edinburgh v London friendly at the Troc could be arranged?.....

Meanwhile, if you happen to be bored sensless then feel free to have a peek at our Vietnam pics........we're already missing the place like crazy:

    Bike trip Nam style..

Well I want to say that I was shit, but in truth I thought I was pretty good just the huge amounts of missed tfts really bothered me. I really wish I could work out what it is I've started doing wrong.

Everything else seemed to be going pretty well.

And I looked through everysingle one of stephens pics, nice looking place. I liked the china beach shot the best.

Nice pics man. I'd like to visit Asia in general one day, but I think the climate would kill me, I'd rather freeze my balls off rather than sweat like a fat man. As for VF, we should try and get something sorted to get you involved in more sessions.

I have a sneaky feeling Anthony might pull out a new character on us soon.
