Well I jsut got done typing up the results. (I'll upload them a little later tonight)

Amazingly enough Li won less than half his games today. Certainly didn't feel like it I know.

I think Stroppa's score would have been a lot better if he didn't use Jacky so much. Time to put in some 2P lei practice methinks.

Anyways was a pleasure playing everyone this week as always. I'm going to put some practice in over the weekend and hopefully I can maybe edge out ahead of shun this wednesday.

There's obviously some mass anti-wolf epidemic spreading through edinburgh these days.

I lost a lot of 3-2's as well, but that doesn't mean i'm entitled to extra wins, it just means I need to try harder and block out the pressure I feel in those situations. Especially when Shun has this much |_| energy.

Although Jacky lost a lot, I thought he was looking nice on the odd sporadic occasion.

I'll say this again, lots of good matches went unsaved today...

 

I just need to stop ringing myself out.

Anyways at the very least I feel like my Kage already rivals my goh, but he's a whole lot more swish and nicer to watch I hope.

No, I think the score between shun and kage was 11-8 in Li's favour.

Faded will correct me if i'm wrong.

Interesting news everyone! I might be able to host one or two gathering at an empty flat. My parents have just bought a flat in town to rent but its unlikely to be occupied for a few weeks. So it might be a good idea to put it to some use. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif They don't have the keys to the place yet though, going to be beginning December. It IS going to be an empty flat though but they will be getting some 'basic' furnitures for the place (which doesn't sound like it includes a TV). Anyway, its nothing solid yet. I'm just wanting to know if anyone is interested.

 

well my reply would of course be fuck yes.

furniture isn't really a problem for me as i'm more disposed towards floors.

Only problem if it happens would be getting a tv it seems.

 

Sounds great Dark. I could only make it early december, due to work commitments later on in that month. But yeah, I think perhaps I could spare my shitty telly, you've all used it before, but if you find something else then cool.

 

In other news some dirty diseased fucker must have made brushing contact with me on the bus as I've got my flu on hardcore now.

I am going to go back to bed and pray for death now. This may obviously delay the result posting process.

Stroppa - You want to post the format for weds matches so everyone knows what to expect?

 

Okay, my idea for wednesday, which I shall run past you all now.

We start off in a league format. Each of us will play each other once best of 4 like the last time. 3 points if you come out on top, 1 point if you draw, nothing if you lose. After the round robin is finished, the person who finishes top plays the person who finished bottom, and the person who finishes 2nd plays the 3rd placed person, think of it as semi-finals with seeding. These matches will be best of 3. The winner of these two matches will go into the grand finale which will consist of a straight best of 5 matches. the losing semi finalists will play in a 3/4th place match.

Everyone this way is guaranteed at least 16 matches, with a potential maximum of 20. All in all the total matches played throughout the whole of this format will be a maximum of 38 matches. This allows for maybe half an hour to an hours warming up before hand, depending on when people arrive.

So hopefully Ant and Li will be coming along with Faded sans diseases.

Up to you guys also, but I'm open to extending the round robin so that people play each other twice, meaning you all get an extra 12 matches, but this depends on yourselves and time constraints. I think I may be able to extend the session to around 6-6.30pm.

 

personally since it's tourney type setting I think it would be cool if people used one character through the whole thing.

I agree with this, gives us space to develop our main characters against other peoples strongest characters.

Just so you guys know, any time after 12.30 is good on wednesday, I think the session will stretch to maybe 6-6.30 if we need the time to finish the wee tournament we're having.

Remember, you get nothing for finishing top of the league section as you still have to get through the semi's and final to win the whole thing /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

 

The idea for the league on Wednesday afternoon is cool. I'm looking forward to it. I will stick to Shun and won't change character in the process. But I prefer we only play each other once in the round robin so the league won't take the entire afternoon. My Wolf and Lau need some practise too >_<

I need to find some way to counter and with Wolf /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. --> looks like a good option, if I can do that HCB fast enough. /me is practising wolf and prepared to be owned again-_-

for the tournament it's one character only /versus/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

as for playing wolf, the + to counter is decent. The timing isn't too strict it's really just a case of knowing when your opponent is going to use it.

I'm crap at half circles as well which is why I tried implementing the counter into my wolf play when I used him a lot.

Well if it's gonna be a longer session than usual then two round robins in the league stage sounds fine, too.
