There is now an ADDED INCENTIVE to entering the NYCLAN tournament.


If you place TOP 3 in any tournament that we are running. You will be called a NYCLAN CHAMP. With that, you will be able to come to NYCLAN and play for FREE any time you like.


Here is the official release from NYCLAN:
Top 3 finishers in each game will be crowned NYCLAN Champs.



All NYCLAN Champs will be posted on our board and on our website and can play for free at NYCLAN whenever they want provided that they do not disturb or interrupt ongoing events. Their Champ status must be renewed at the next Fighting Major by finishing top 3. If they fail to finish top 3 or do not show up, they lose their Champ status. NYCLAN Champs are crowned at every Fighting Major.



This is VERY EXCITING news !!!! I hope this makes even more players want to come out !!!

Yes, we all know about your tourney.

I am very interested, but it is unlikely I will be there. I just don't have a way there and even if I somehow made it, I currently don't and probably won't have the money to enter. Perhaps next month as long as it's the same 3D fighters. (CvS2 > 3s for me)

 

Good news for my wallet. Castle Golf just opened up today. I haven't recieved a call yet though. I'll wait till after tomorrow's festivities before calling them.

Anyways...

Good luck at the NYCLAN tourney, Carlos and Joe. Russ, hope you can make it to Spero's tourney.

I'll have my PS3 soon. When this happens, I'm gonna start a new Long Island thread since "Hey, 3 of us have a PS3" makes for a much better 1st post then what I have now.

Carlos, tell me about those PS3 sticks you have. Where did you get them, and what's the official name of them? (so I can specifically ask clerks for it)

If I run monthly (possibly twice-monthly) tourneys for VF5 at Castle Golf, will you guys come?

I plan to run DR + VF5 tourneys at the same time to ensure there are lots of people around.

As usual, that is nice, but it is unlikely I will be there.

 

Ok people, listen up: Here's what I'm aiming for:

Castle Golf: April 29th - Sign-ups as soon as Castle Golf is open. Tourney at 1PM.

Games: DR and VF5 definitely. Perhaps SC2 and/or SC3 as well if there is enough interest.

$15 to enter your first game, $10 for all your others.

I still do not have a PS3 and I don't think I'll have one by then. All I have to bring is the one TV. So, this will come down to whether or not I can round up some PS3s and TVs. And my PS2 does not read silver-bottom PS2 games. So if people want Soul Calibur 3, someone will have to bring a PS2. (For SC2, I will bring my Xbox with 2 convertors for PS controllers)

I'm not posting this in the Tournament and Events section yet because nothing is 100% official. I still need PS3s and TVs as well as the greenlight from Lance for this day and time. And I want to know if people would like SC2 and/or SC3 to be added or not.

 

Ok, a PS3 has been secured. The VF5 tourney is definite. Now just to figure out when the tourney will be.

If I can get another PS3 for DR, then the tourney will be on April 29th as planned.

If I can't get another PS3, then perhaps I will mix VF5 in with the tourneys on April 22nd.

I don't care. I've been professional and polite about challenges and I'm tired of people acting like animals over it. When Evo World comes, I'll play whoever. What'll happen happens. And that's that. Till then, I don't care to create/add to/indulge in unnecessary bad blood.
