great games Myke, your defense is rock solid and a good understanding of the game as a whole shown how limited my options of attack were, since i rely on reflexes more than knowledge based in frame advantages and disadvantages situation.

we finally had one visiter in UK and it's a refreshing experience for UK players to improve their own game, i really hope more players will join us soon.
playing the same circle of players every friday night, it's hard to break bad habits if we don't have enough variety of players to absorb new techniques.

i've learnt more from challenging Myke than a week of practice on my PS2, hope tournaments like RB will bring more players around. talking about RB, what happened to it??? no more monthly gathering? /versus/images/graemlins/tear.gif

ah... having one machine is a pain, and the sticks is an embarrassment, but i guess Myke got used to those loose sticks pretty damn quick. i got hammered, but next time ... i'll be alot better!!! practice...practice...makes perrfect!!

can anyone here host my matches i captured last night? i could burn it on a disc and pass it to someone with a better knowledge in uploading than me. /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif

yeah didn't have time to write a better report,
yeah overall I think apart from ryan it's safe to say we got some pretty bad kagay beats, myke was rinsing the sidekick setups and backturned stuff really well,
I tried to stop this with aoi by using inashi and the [6][4][K]+[G] but it was tricky,
his flowcharts were really good and reminded me of japanese level play, constantly on you and you have to think fast and create openings, my te's sucked that day so I ate a few nasty tft comboes /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif oh and he got a few people with the new hit sweep into throw /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif
also he adapted to our different styles quickly and got some very nice win streaks ( should be on the vids) something not easy to do and showed his experience.
I hope this shows us that we shouldn't be complacent and always look to learn new stuff, lately our play's become a bit inbred so now maybe we'll see some new strategies from everyone please? /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Anyways I hope he found his way home ok as the crazy London night buses wouldn't take his cash and he had to walk /versus/images/graemlins/indifferent.gif
p.s those who didn't come resturant missed out on some good vf stories /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif and gho talking about lemon baths and zombie hulk eating thors leg, wtf /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif

I wouldn't mind hosting the videos. I got unlimited webspace and bandwidth and I haven't tried it out yet. Heck I'll even edit it a lil cos I'm that bored.

I must say that it has been an honour to meet and play you. After getting used to the sticks and each person's style of gameplay your knowledge and experience of the game clearly showed as we were beaten quite badly by your Kage. In our later games I didn't know what to do against you with my Lei.

All in all this has been an invaluable experience for myself as well as the other UK Players and this just gives us an incentive to learn and improve our game.

Anyway thank you for visiting us here in the UK and hope to see you again in the future.

    Have a safe trip back.

    Lemon baths indeed!!! /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif

    Anyway, back in Germany again.

Massive thanks to all of you who came out and welcomed me, I had a great time and it was a pleasure to have finally visited London and met you! My only regret is the extremely short amount of time I had there, but I know that if I'm ever in the neighbourhood again we'll pick up things where we left off.

Thanks especially to optimus, jide, and g-ho for sticking around after the gaming was over. I enjoyed the walk around town, seeing the sights, the infamous trocadero, the chinese restaurant, and, as optimus already mentioned, the dinner conversation was just fucking hilarious!

You have a nice scene going on, so keep at it, and I look forward to meeting you all again some day.

    Cheers.

Yo, I’ve added those casual matches in the Media section. i had to scale down the resolution to reduce file size for quicker download, so don't expect great quality footage, still watchable of course. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    Nice work with the footage!
But don't be shy/reserved, and feel you have to stay back and record from an angle (well the angle wasn't THAT bad, I've seen US footage at extremely steep angles lol).
Feel free to come in the centre between the players /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You see when I'm recording.. "nah man, move! I need a good shot" lol

Anyway Myke, it was a pleasure to meet you! (even though I haven't learnt much VF yet and didn't play)
