LONDON - team AGVF play

Sorry, my mistake, I thought for the longest time p,k was throw guaranteed.. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I definitely agree with screw punch being risky, the more I play wolf, the less i use it, and i used to abuse it like it's free stuff. I do believe though if you hit the first hit on a crouched opponent, second hit is free, even if it's delayed I do believe. So you have time to see whether you hit the first on crouched, normal hit, or MC. Usually if it's blocked people won't try to throw you right away, so even at -10, you can sometimes be lazy and not do throw escapes I think. But still a good idea to do it out of habit. Now I take a look at the frames more closely, b+p follow up to ppf+p is definitely not good on block.

The reason why I think ppf+p is better than b+p as a move to close the distance is because to your opponent, since there is no follow up to b+p, seeing it whiffed triggers an automatic counter response. As oppose to seeing ppf+p and watching whether or not you do the last hit. So most of the time it gives you extra time in a real life game situation. I personally think sometimes you can't just look at only the frame number, but think of how these moves would work in the context of an actual match.

somthing you should get more of but wolf has a miniture forcefield which stops him taking full damage.Or is it his man sized breasts.

Make it happen man and make it happen now! Guides and Dojos are such immensfull help on this site - probably the best thing here is (I want an Pai Evo dojo!) maybe exept the movelist and there are still pretty few for Evo. It really feels heavy picking up a character that doesn't have one (knowing your playing wrongly / putting emphasis on wrong things) and they're such great tools for newcomers aswell. There are simply things you can not understand with a character unless you've played over a thousand games or so with it (and even then you keep on learning) or someone tells you. A dojo / guide even helps you to defend against a character you have problems with and helps you understand a characters strenght, probably increasing it's popularity for someone new etc.
Quit your dayjob / study and lock yourself into a room and throw away the key and don't let anyone let you out until it's slipped out from under your door.

Yeah it would be nice if there was an update to the pai dojo, lol bk's been at his wolf guide for as long as i can remember. It should be a good read though as he has gone super in depth.

There is obviously a certain degree of technique and tricks that are needed to get good, but it's always the unexpeted technigue that throws the human players. (cpu a.l. is a different matter) For example, I rarely use Jacky's +>,(delayed) but when it comes I get 90% sucess rate then follow up with a guaranteed savage combo. Or, there is always the noob who comes along and wins a fight or two due to random technique.

It's all about the balance between the two!!!!

ok, two new vids have been posted and are hosted by me. I just wanna know if people ARE actually watching these vids. It's quite pointless to host them when it seem like no ones watching them. So please if you are wathcing the vids, then please say u are in a post and obviously comment on the matches. If enough responses are said then I'll continue hosting them. Thanx.

I think the main reason this thread isnt getting as many reply's is either one of these 3 reasons:

1. Such as the popularity just about everything in VF evo has been done already and movies dont really get a look in anymore.

2. Since i would say about 85% of this forum is American based the american's tend to stick with either japanese/american threads and maybe they go by the idea of if it doesnt have ryan heart in it why bother watching it.

3. The movies we put up really suck and thats why we dont get responses.

I think my vote would be for number 2. But hey thats just my opnion.

It's the same with combo videos as well. Many still come out, but rarely will one have a combo we have not seen before. I can only see Yoho, p, shrm, dblplm 45308 billion times before it gets old.

I do download your matches though, because I enjoy watching BK's Wolf. I download matches based off who's in them, character wise, not country wise /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Really liked that last vid with Pai... I kind of wanna learn how to play Pai, but after starting with Vane it's kind of hard to change, because she's so different. Anyway, keep up the good movie posts =)

EDIT: hey RS & A_A, chill out, the thing about vids is that lots of people view, but few reply, it's quite simple. as long as they're viewable for people to view, that's all i'm concerned about.... replies can only go so far i guess... but hey. cool to the people who enjoy watching it.
