List of people who are 10th Dan and higher

Master is the worst rank. It's just like being a Hero from VF4:Evo: lose one match to a Guardian and you're a Guardian again. Lose one match to a 10th Dan and you're a 10th Dan again. I hate that. How many 10th Dans do you have to beat to go to the next rank after Master?

Anyways the answer is five, you gotta beat five 10th dans in a row to rank up from master.

 

Our page numbers are probably different because I have my set to the max number of posts on one page.

Slayer ranking

There is a shun online Crimson mankichi that has ranked up to slayer! Anyone have any info on this guy? I have played him 3 times, won 2 lost 1. I was shocked when he ranked up to barbarian, more surprised @ assassin, and seen last night he's ranked up again to Slayer. Is he really taht beastly (maybe i caught him on bad nights, or he lost without care b/c he's in japan, idk)

Anyone else play him? Can anyone else comment on his skill level. (especially anyone in the master+ range, Lucky, Denkai, konjou, etc)

He is damn fucking good about fuzzy and everything!!!
We played like 2 hours last week and I didn't seem to have any chance to beat him up.... He told me his main is Lion and I'm looking forward to meet him again~~

Can we revive ranking guys? Me and Jhow are so close to that Conqueror status. Fu-unji and Lucky GT is pretty damn close too.

Come on we can't let Denkai be the only one with Conqueror status... that guy fucking sucks!

Just curious, once you make it to Conqueror, you can not be demoted, right?

But beating/losing to a Conqueror when you're a Slayer should affect your rank bar normally. It's within 2 ranks.

If you're a Slayer, you still need to rank up 2 more times to get to Conqueror, or rather, you'll probably end up being a Destroyer.

If I have some free time, I'll update the ranking list I made earlier and collect the US and european player names that are in the top 5 ranks for you two. You can try <span style="text-decoration: line-through">harassing</span> sending match requests to them.

i've been toying with the idea of putting in the time to bump past master. If i do feel free to come and beat up on me. The only thing i would suggest though, is maybe be careful on beating up on Master+ ranks when they are near demotion. I would have no problem inadvertently pipelining some rank to u guys but after i get past master (at this point it is just a matter of finding 10th dans and winning 5 straight, it's inevitable) if i got demoted below master, i think i would just retire from ranked. The rank up from master to whatever name rank is just not an enjoyable grind to me. Just my thoughts though.

I don't know the answer to ur question Yupa, but it is an interesting thought.

If you're a Slayer looking for meaningful rank matches in the US or Europe, the pickings are slim:

Erica Fontaine3 (Yosuke) - Conqueror
Black BauerrCTU (Denkai) - Conqueror
JHow77 - Slayer
siraddy - Assassin (I believe he's a known cable puller, right? I apologize if I'm wrong.)
Geewaiho - Gladiator (I don't think he's played on rank in months, tho.)
KonjouAkira - Gladiator
EMPXxKonjouxX - Barbarian (Rodney, do you have any other accounts?)
kingofvf4 - Barbarian

adam YUKI, None Other and Krye NL are all Raiders. If any of those 3 get a promotion, they'll be in the top 5 ranking tiers, too. Adam was a Gladiator at one point.

As I was scanning thru the current rankings, I noticed a bunch of Japanese and a few Koreans and Chinese who have managed to get up to Barbarian/Sentinel rank. There's over 15 more names at that rank now. I wish I could play these guys without lag. They've all gotten to that rank within the last 2 months, so they're all still active.

Just notification. I was Slayer about half year ago, and I retired once after I demoted to Raider from Slayer by JP players.
Also I was disconnected by XBox Live when I almost ranked up to the Berserker once, and then I was demoted. it is an just excuse, yet that made me really upset when I demoted to Assasin. lol

Anyway, I think you forgot about Masa-san (MasaRed), he is Assasin right now, but he was Berserker which is almost highest rank with 70% win ratio. Masa-san and I both couldn't play recently, (well I remember last time I played him was last Desember) and he had told me that he is busy with his work, and take care of his children.

We both used to play in ranked alot, sometimes I beat him and I demoted him, but sometimes he beat me and demoted me. It was very fun, one of the reasons is we both use Shun as main.

I don't take my rank seriously, but I love to have rank match. Rank is one of my biggest reason for keep playing VF. However, I can't find anyone in ranked lately (expect Rodney and JHow), why don't people just stand up and run into the rank match?

well I still think he is the best American player. I and Masa-san had talked about Adam, and we both agreed that he is the best player as American. Of course this is just a opinion from us, but we used to play VF in Japanese arcade alot before we came to the US, and which made us decide to have this opinion.

Like I said, everyone from VFDC should run into the rank match from now! Of course for FUN!! No pulling, No Adap....*cough*

I apologize if I missed someone. There are a bunch of high ranked asian players... my focus was on North America and Europe for this list.

Oh yeah, you are right. Masa-san and I are Japanese, but I thought we both are living in US, that's why I posted here.

I missed you because I think you 2 have your gamer cards stating your in Japan.
