    Dear Sega

I've been playing Virtua Fighter for well over 15 years now, making many new friends from many different countries due to this game.

I believe that with the current revival of the fighting game genre, this year would be the perfect time to release a new iteration of Virtua Fighter for consoles.

No other 3d fighting games are scheduled for this year and Super Street Fighter 4 is coming out for fans of 2d fighting games. So I believe this is an excellent opportunity to give 3d fighting fans what they want.

I still love playing VF5 but I worry that if a new version is not released soon the Virtua Fighter brand name will start to slip from the minds of fighting game players.

I don't have much to say, but there's one thing for sure, the fans really want this game more than any other fighter out there.

    Sega,

Virtua Fighter 4 tore me away from Tekken back in 2002, and I have not looked back. I regularly play VF5 with several of the Southern California players that have also submitted letters. Please think about releasing VF5 on console, and if you please, make both PS3 and X360 versions online playable.

    Sega,

I'm not sure what to say exactly, but I and the rest of the Virtua Fighter fans would greatly appreciate you bringing VF5R over to the console base.

    My message:

    Dear Sega

With this I want to strengthen the opinion of the others, by expressing myself. In my opinion I was one of the youngest Virtua Fighter fans. Because I began 1995 with the game, in this year I was just 6 years old. My interest in the game rised, while I was visiting my brothers a friend, sat there and watched my brother and his friend play virtua fighter 2 for the Sega console. Because of this reason I tried my first tests on virtua fighter and my enthusiasm grew step by step. The next action my brother and I did, were to buy the console just because of the game. The sequels were of course duty for us, we played them excessively. When we became virtua fighter 4 we played it whenever we had time. We always played it together and trained and trained, just to get beat the other. I wanted to beat him he wanted to beat me; the weekends were just for playing virtua fighter together. After some time we missed some challenge, because we were much better then all our friends and family members that were already playing it with us. We decided then to use the internet to find other virtua fighter players. We found someone living near us who started playing with us. Now we have 2010 and have a 5 year long friendship. Together we 3 challenged other players in our country on some small unofficial tournaments which enriched us. The interest in virtue fighter was low then. But now With Virtua Fighter 5 a lot more friends started playing it with us. We just bought the Playstation 3 because of being able to play virtua fighter and it is still our only game on the console. Because virtua fighter 5 is now available on the Xbox 360 too a lot more have decided to play it. Which are now waiting for the next version, so they can play further. The biggest problem is if there is no next version they will loose interest in the game and just the core virtua fighter players will play it. But I’m sure it will sell. I’m with you, you can count on me. Please release the next virtua fighter for console so we can play it further.

    Best Regards
    LaLeVIII

So I just registered to help you guys get VF5R on consoles.

I tried VF5 last year but I knew the community in Germany was very very small. So I only entered the WCG online tournaments to qualify for VF5. It was fun playing the game but my motivation was just not big enought to keep practicing, also because my stick had no home button at that time and I had to use a pad.
Anyway, I hope that the community would rise again or get at least bigger in Germany with a release of VF5R as I know VF is a great game series and that I will get motivated to play it again.

    Hi SEGA

Virtua Fighter is one of the best -if not the best- fighting game experience. There is a very strong community worldwide, and as you can see a lot of fans are waiting for VF5R to be released on console. I'd be really glad to get back in Virtua Fighter if at anytime VF5R comes around.

    From 8wayrun.com thx a lot!

    -----------------------------------

I only got into the Virtua Fighter Series with the latest version on the 360, but I’ve fallen in love with the series. Unfortunately, the community for it has dwindled since the latest version hasn’t been released outside of Japan (And the arcade systems for it can’t even be imported!). Even with the recent influx of new and revived fighting game series, I still don’t feel that there’s any which can replace what Virtua Fighter 5:R offers to players. Although the scene is currently weakened outside of Japan, it’d definitely see a drastic revival with the release of the latest (Or a new) version. Even making it so that the arcade machines could be used outside of Japan would go a long way. Tekken 6 had a real scene in the US even before the console release. The updated release on home consoles sold well even two years after Tekken 6 came out. Similarly, an update of Virtua Fighter 5 with good netcode would undoubtedly be well received.

    From 8wayrun.com again:

I'd really like to see Virtua Fighter 5R come to console, as a long time fighting game fan. I'd definitely pick up a copy.

    Dear Sega,
I have been a VF fan since playing the sega genesis version of VF2 back in the 90's. You would bring so much joy to us fans if you brought VF5R to consoles. If you are unable to do this, at least keep releasing eventual new VF games in the US whenever that time may be. If I may make a few suggestions, hopefully someone on the inside is reading this and the least they can do is just hear what I have to say, they don't have to use these suggestions but reading them would be good enough for me. Here they are:

-I really liked how the characters' outfits got wet in VF5 so in the next game, could you show dirt or tears or something as well.
-Characters items can be knocked off like in VF3 at least make it optional, also if a character has a certain hairstyle like a ponytail, maybe it can come undone after that particular suffers a certain attack.
-Include swimsuits for the characters if possible.
-Include subtitles with the option of the text being in different languages as well as the audio so people who speak different languages can understand the characters and it's also good for people learning another language.
-When improving the online mode, allow the players to choose any stage rather than a stage with a type of wall. Also the lag as well if possible.
-Include old stages such as the palace stage from vf4 and sarah's subway stage from vf3, I love the design of those stages especially the palace stage. Beautiful Design I must say.
-Include different system voice such as new and old if possible.
-Include a story mode even if the characters talk in a cheesy way at least some do and some don't such as Sarah.
Include a lot of the features that were in VF4:Evolution such as the in-depth training mode, and extra poses.
I'm sorry for this being long and I thank anyone for taking the time and reading my suggestions. Also I would LOVE to see VF on PSP if possible. Thanks again to anyone.

I really hope i'm not too late for this.

    Dear SEGA:

As a long time supporter of the "virtua fighter" series, I hope you would give us fans who are outside of japan to play the lastest version of this great title.

    Dear Sega,

I have been a "Virtua Fighter" fan for a long time. I'm far from an expert of the series, but it is one series I have enjoyed over the years. Bringing "VF V: R" to consoles would really please all the fans, including myself.

So, please bring the game over to consoles. As a fan of games and not just fighting games, this would really please me. You have a group of fans scrapping their way to make this request a reality. I don't want this effort be done all for nothing. Thank you so much.

It seems I'm too late for this. Still...

I really hope that VF5 can have a stronger presence on the current generation of consoles.

I started playing VF when I bought a copy of VF4 on ps2, and when VF4Evo came out on the console, I became a dedicate player. I invest lots of time and energy to train my skills, seek out new friends to play the game with, and make trips to other cities to participate in tournaments.

The sole reason that I stopped playing VF5 is that I can't play the newest version of the game on the console or anywhere outside Japan. I'm sure that a console version of VF5R will make old players like me picking up VF again, as well as attracting new players to this game.

Sega, thank you for making one of my favourite game series of all time, and please listen to your fans around the world and bring VF5R to consoles. I'll buy two copies of the game if it ever came out, no joke.

Sega, please please please release VF5R to PS3 and Xbox360, both with online play. Tekken 6 made some fans dissapointed. This could be your break in huge sales especially with the comeback of Taka-Arashi and the new character Jean Kujo. I'm a huge fan to the VF series.

    Dear Sega

If you put VF5R on Xbox 360 with good or at least decent online netcode, I will purchase it

    Thanks in advance

Figured that I would throw in my Support as well.

I'm not a great Virtua Fighter player by any means, but I do love the series a great deal ever since VF2 on Saturn. I would buy VF5R, and any future instalments in a heartbeat.

I sincerely hope that Sega do continue to bring series to home consoles in the future.

    Dear Sega:

I recently started playing VF5 on X360 and a friend is teaching me to play. I think VF5 connecting people.

I've seen videos of VF5R and I want to enjoy this revision of the game because in my country I can't play this type of arcade machines.

Thanks in advance. Ismael Torres from Spain.
