I played Virtua Fighter series since Virtua Fighter 2 in Sega Saturn and easily become my favorite fighting game! I love fighting games and Virtua Fighter is the best!

Please SEGA, bring your latest Virtua Fighter 5 to console! I'm sure many fighting fans would be happy. Thank you very much.

I started playing VF 1 on arcade (yes, that game with fighting cubes ^^) and I always enjoyed the depth of the VF gameplay, I simply think it's the best in 3d fighting game. Unfortunatly we don't have good arcade rooms where I live and we can't play VF5R. So please SEGA, listen to your fans and bring the latest VF 5 to console! Thanks you very much!

I first played VF when the first one came out at Arcades and played a hell of allot of VF2 at arcades too.
They made me buy a Saturn then I bought every console entry after that.
    VF3TB on Dreamcast
    VF4 & VF4 Evo on PS2
    and I even bought VF5 for both the PS3 & 360.

Please pretty please port VF5 Final Showdown to the PS3/360!!!

    thank you!

Simply put, it would be fantastic if VF5R (or indeed VF5FS)were made available for consoles. I would make a day one purchase, as would at least 5 of my buddies - we've all been playing vf avidly since the introduction of vf4 on the playstation 2. Given the recent success of SF4, I feel that it is the perfect time to release a new vf title for the current generation of consoles. If online play could be optimised and expanded - allowing the formation of clans & offering some feeling of character progression, i.e. gaining "experience" with fights which opens up customisation options/prestige items etc - I feel a new vf for consoles would be able to not only satify the long-term fans but will also attract new players! Go on sega - be good to us!

Please Sega, you've been so good lately. Continue to be good and give us more Virtua Fighter goodness.

Come on Sega. A PC version is simply too easy considering the engine used.. Heck release it via steam. No excuse not to really, and a Ps3/360 version wouldn't go amisss either.

More people are aware of fighters, more have the two consoles now, especially with the PS3 doing well in Japan of late. More folks have arcade sticks. And heck even Blublaze is getting a sequel released on the Pc/PS3 and 360. That being another game using PC tech as it's base.

You're the last decent 3D fighter there is. And people will buy because they won't expect a follow up to be mentioned 6 months after release.

I think it's a pity we have to beg for this. How much more does SEGA have to see and hear before they respond to the VIRTUA FIGHTER FANS AND COMMUNITY.
I am a very dissapointed SEGA and Virtua figher fan who has owned every console Sega made (yes, that includes the 32X) and played every Virtua figeter released in the arcade and any console. I even bought the PS3 on its first day release for VF5 alone.
I believe Sega do not care about its fans outside of Japan, but I hope I'm wrong and they gives us what we all want.

My name is Cole and I'm in Florida.

VF is my favorite 3d fighting game, easily. I love Soul Calibur and Tekken as well but nothing comes close to the speed, precision and passion of the VF titles. I think VF4EVO is the best release ever on the PS2 (and I play pretty much everything, not just fighting games). I know times have been tough at Sega for a very long time now, but I would be so happy to be able to say you guys matched your height last gen with a console release of Final Showdown with a training and replay mode as in-depth as EVO. The world needs this game!

I'm Steven from New York City.

My first time with VF was renting VF4:evo for the PS2. I absolutely loved the tutorial for the game, even if I only had a short time with it (the ps2 wasn't mine). I was excited when I heard a 360 port for VF5, and with online! I've played this version of VF for 6 months. Eventually I heard about VF5R, and I decided to suspend my playing VF5 until R came out for consoles. I was disappointed to see that 5R was taking forever to come out for consoles, but with this announcement of Final Showdown, I hope that Sega is considering porting this final version of VF5 to both XBox 360 and PS3, with online and all of the improvements of the arcade versions. I would also like to see the requests that myself and many others are asking for (recording feature, online rooms, being able to switch character without backing out of an online room, 2P being able to use customizations, more modes if possible, etc.).

So please Sega, let your Western fans experience what you worked so hard on to make and improve upon. Let the world see what VF is all about!

I discovered VF when my cousin got a Saturn for Christmas in 1995 and I've been in love with the series ever since. I just love the attention to detail when it comes to the game itself. From how the characters look and how each of them realistically represents their fighting style. And there aren't a lot of fighters that give you that kind of immersion. To be quite honest your missing out on a lot of people who love the franchise but don't have an outlet to experience VF5 in its best and balanced form. That's why I want to echo the voices of my fellow players and say that we want, need and demand to play the best version of one of the best fighters available today. You won't regret the decision and all your fans all over the world will appreciate it. I sincerely hope that my words and the words of us all will move you to do something great for the gaming community as whole. Thanks for your time.

I am what hardcore fighting games call: a scrub. My first fighting game was Street Fighter IV, and now since a few months an arcade stick and Blazblue too. I have become pretty much addicted to fighting games and they are basically all I play, and wil continue doing so. To my surprise Virtua Fighter 5 on PS3 had no online, but then I heard about this new version just yesterday. I will buy this new version for sure if it sees a console release on PS3.

To anybody at SEGA who can make this happen,

I'll keep this brief -- please port Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown to consoles. It'd be a shame to see perhaps one of the best fighting games of this console generation not get exposure outside of Japan just because there's no adequate console port.

And give my thanks to the Virtua Fighter 5 team for me. They deserve all the praise they can get for getting myself and many, many others hooked on VF5. I swear, if this gets announced to consoles, Super Street Fighter IV's going to have to do a lot more than what it's doing now to keep my attention. =D

    Dear SEGA
I am a french SEGA gamer and I discovered the Virtua fighter serie at his beginning and love it since my first Virtua fighter game... Fighter Megamix on Saturn, what a bomb baby.
Since this game, I own every game released in my counrty, VF3tb, VF4, vf4e and VF5, and always it was damn good!
This fighting serie is my favorite, not only because it is the SEGA's but because it is very technical and i love it.
For this last version of the game, you talk about reality and free fight, and i think it is the most respectuous thing to do with the fighting art, I know well the free fight, and of course the Pride, the best fighting organisation ever, and I totally approve your message, and it's great that VF serie is the ambassador of this modern style of fighting, modern thinking of fighting.

I dicovered VF5R videos a moment ago and I think it must released on consoles with online option. I' m waiting it, because it's the best fighting game, sure, and because it can meet success! yes it can!!
PS3 and xbox360 are now very populars and count nearly 50millions owners. The PS2 is really behind now, if VF5 release, sure it can touch people, in particular those who loves fight and free fight and there is many many people that love it!
Japan is the country where the best VFer are, but there is so much fans over the world you can' t forget.

We wanted the best fighting game on consoles, please SEGA, make this dream come true!

Sorry for my bad english, with love.

Could convince another one to write such a message but not to bother registering his own account. (But a third one agreed to do that and should post soon)

    His message:

    Dear Segapeoples.
I am really a Fan of the Virtua Fighter Games. Not Having the newest Virtua Fighter Game for Consoles would be a grave blow to every fan on the planet. VF5R or better yet Final Showdown would be a great game to have on consoles. I can remember about how i and a few friends played it to no end.
Because it was simply better then other games even Street Fighter. You could do much more and had always more optins.
If you don´t make VF for Consoles then you make the fans miss out on something unique and great.
Thank you for your attention, should you read this.
    Flo, Austria
