Kamaage: VF5R for console effort

VF was the first 3D fighting game I played in the arcade. I have bought every VF game released in the U.S. since VF Remix on Sega Saturn. There was a strong momentum following VF4 and I think it was lost when VF4 Final Tuned wasn't released in the U.S. Fighting games have been revitalized since last year and VF5:R has a lot of potential if it is ported and marketed correctly.

Please bring VF5:R to Playstation 3. Thank you.

I've been playing Virtua Fighter since I was 12. My mom got it for me as a present for Israeli New Years. At first I didn't recognize the genre, but as I kept playing I remembered I played this game before, that's when I realized this is the game that I've been playing as a 7 years old kid at my cousin's house (it was VF2 that time). Anyway, I started playing VF4 that time and I kept playing it for hours over hours, I remember when i was about to become a 'High King' rank with Jacky so I got to that rank right after I got home after I hung out with some friends till about 6 AM, and it was so exciting. Anyway, it's been a few years and I'm searching for a new attraction, and I'd love to have that kind of thing from a video game, since I haven't played any console game for years now, and I miss that, so having VF5R brought to consoles will bring me lots of joy.

I play seriously at Vf since VF 5, but i know VF since VF 2. VF is my favorite 3D fighting game. Please, i wish VF 5R in xbox 360 to play with elblaze and takaharashi.

I grew up with video games (born 1983) and SEGA has always been my favourite. I stopped gaming a bit during uni but then I've been working in the videogame industry for three years. I was disappointed to see how things had moved on. It was all quantity over quality, so disappointing. But some franchises, very few in fact, are still as good as at the beginning. VF is definitely one of them. I remember leaving the office after having spent many hours on bad games full of text, plot and cutscenes and there was no better way to recover than playing a couple of games of VF4 in the arcade. I'm 100% serious.
Please keep VF going on console too.

I have been playing Virtua Fighter since I was 10 years old and whoopin' on guys who were more than 2x my age at the local arcades.

VF has been a part of my life for a long time. I buy EVERY version of the game I can get my hands on and VF5r would be no exception.

SEGA: Please release VF5r for the PS3, you will make my year I love your products and hope to see many, many more of them as I get older.

I would definitely buy VF5R for 360 because it's the only way I'd ever be able to play it in this country! I believe online play could keep interest in VF up until VF6 *crosses fingers*

tu cure my hypertension (blood pressure problems) I need to kick arses regularly, and VF is the best game for that (with "Hokuto no Ken" - PS2).
and VF5R is the best VF.

Virtua Fighter is by far the best VS fighting series ever. Playing VF5 on 360 is great (I bought the console for this game) but playing VF5:R on 360 would be much greater.

Hi, the lack of games like VF on recent games console is the main reason pushing me to play more and more on PC.
Please don't let it die, many of us would enjoy playing VF5:R, as time is getting longer for us waiting on real good arcade spirit games, and as it's without any doubt one of the best so far.

I'm 23 and have played Virtua Fighter since it first hit the arcades, Arcades in the US have drastically plummeted since online gaming. I am a big fan of the series and would love to see this game ported to consoles very soon.

Hello, my name is Sebastien Janssens, I live in belgium and I never get the chance to go to japan, not that I'd go there to play videogames.

Anyway, if virtua fighter 5r was coming to consoles, i would surely get it. This game has an absolutely huge value (in fact, it is probably the only fighter worth buying 70 bucks). i remember vf4 evo on ps2, which i still own an never get tired of.

I own a PS3 and still play VF5, but I find it frustrating that it doesn't even provide the great Features that made VF4 evo the fighting game of the decade, as far as i'm concerned.
I'd very much like to play VF5R on console with those features, and I can't wait to give the to additional caracters a nice very long try.

Virtua fighter games are exellent and very subtle games, and the only really mature fighters out there. there is a very real community that still wants to play these games, consequent enough to be given the chance to get a home version of it.

Please, make it happen !

I am relatively new to virtua fighter, as I only started playing with virtua fighter 4. However I have come to respect the quality and dedication put into this series. Looking at the videos of VF5R, it looks like the series has taken leaps forward in its presentation and style. As great a year as 2009 was for fighting games, I still feel that we should have seen an international console release of VF5R. I am especially intrigued by the new character Jean Kujo. Unfortunately at present time there is no way for me to play this most recent installment to the VF series as the arcade scene is all but dead in America. I would love to play VF5R online on my PS3 with my friends. I also am still hopeful for a VF Tekken cross up game!

I started playing fighting games ever since i could hold onto full memories and not just brief fragments of being 2 and being fed. I would always go over to my friend billy's house and play sega's sonic the hedgehog, and more importantly that virtua fighter, it started out as a simple exposure to one fighting game became a lifelong love of fighters, especially the ones that offer a different angle and thats what i feel virtua fighter 5 r offers. Nowadays people play tekken,street fighter which are mainly 2d and yet who else offers the 3d action, physics, the story, the charm that you do that only sega can offer, and that is why virtua fighter 5 r is needed, the fighting game genre needs relief, in fact video gaming as whole need more sega games

 

I've always been an avid fan of fighting games. But I never owned a Sega console, so I never had much of an opportunity to play any of the Virtua Fighter games. But when I heard that Virtua Fighter 4 was coming to the PS2, I got curious. I went over to my local arcade to try it out and was very impressed. Not only were the graphics stunning, but the gameplay had an unprecedented amount of depth. This fact was made even more obvious by the PS2 version's in-depth training mode. I have considered myself a fan of the series ever since.

By the time Virtua Fighter 5 was released for the PS3, there was little doubt that I would buy it. But, I had decided to go the extra mile and play the game as it was intended. I imported the Virtua Stick High Grade from Japan. And it was well worth it! VF5 is a great game and playing it with the VSHG made it that much better.

Having been unable to appreciate the new features and revisions of VF5 version C, I was expecting Sega to release VF5R for the home consoles as they did with VF4Evolution before it. Alas, that has not yet come to be. But with the impending release of Yakuza 3 in the West, I remain ever hopeful that I will one day have the opportunity to experience this latest edition of Virtua Fighter.
