I would also love to see VF5R on console, My name is Michael and I've been playing VF5 for about 2 years now, when I first started
playing competitively on XBL against real people (not the cpu ai) about 6 months ago I found it to be one of the few online games that actually required skill to be a good player which is a rare thing especially in relation to the fighting game genre, it would be a waste to allow the VF series to die in the face of inferior competition such as Tekken, Dead or Alive etc. VF5R or VF6 would be very much appreciated ASAP, don't let us down Sega.

    Good work Kamaage, [IMG]

I would love to have Virtua Fighter 5r on the console since there isn't an arcade around here. Plus, Virtua Fighter is the true fighting game. I don't want to play wannabes anymore. Please, release Virtua Fighter 5R for the Xbox 360 and for the PS3 and give the PS3 the online play too. It worked wonders for the XBox 360 and I'm sure it'll be just as great on the PS3.

Hi my name is Igor Pinheiro from Sydney, Australia. I've been playing VF5 since it was released. I have also been to Japan a few times and have had the pleasure of playing VF type R myself. Now having seen the differences myself I know exactly what everyone outside Japan is missing and its a lot. I was blown away by all the additions, the new characters, the stages and how they change between bouts, all the added accessories and new clothes, the new modes, absolutely everything was awesome and more importantly, polished. Now I understand that many people do not like VF and prefer other fighting games over it and this may be the key factor to why Type R has not been released outside Japan, however, no other current fighting game has released an expansion as epic as this one and as such would give VF an edge over the current crop of fighters available. In short, in my humble opinion, VF Type R will Revitalise the series, Renew its interest but more importantly should Sega release the expansion then they would be honouring and Respecting their fans. Thank you for your time.

    Ill make it short.
I was there from the beginning, and even bought the 32x port.
I'm older, and play fighters competitively now.
Virtua fighter is KNOWN for being the deepest fighter.
No one out of japan can play Virtua Fighter competitively anymore, because we don't have the latest version.
All those fans you guys made over the years out of japan have to look elsewhere for competitive play.
Support your fans and you'll get even more of a following.
Remember, once someone gets on a train, they don't get off unless it stops.

Back when I was in college I used to leave early to go and play VF1 in the local arcade so I have been with the series since the start. While I have never become a true expert it is still the true originator of 3D fighting and I have played every iteration since. I would dearly love to see the latest version released on PS3 and hope it will happen...

I read about this effort on IGN.com and made this account specifically to post my undying love for the virtua fighter series.

My name is Michael Ross, I'm a 21 year old college student from Ocean City MD. Every thursday at 8:00 for the past year and a half, my friends and i have met up on XBL and had weekly sparing matches with each other just for fun. There are 6 of us. I have recommended VF5 to anyone who has asked me about the best fighters on 360. they normally expect to hear about street fighter, but once they play the demo, something just clicks.
I can list several dozen gamers in my area who would run out and purchase VF5R without a second look. I sincerely hope this forum helps persuade the good people of sega to release this must have game on our shores

    Hopefully giving you $60 soon,
    Mike

**I apologize for any grammar mistakes or run on sentences that i might not have caught in this post, but it's almost 3 in the morning, and i have an 8am class tomorrow lol. But this effort was too important to pass up.

My name is Michael Ajibade. I am in my 20s and currently in college. I have been a Virtua Fighter fan since the first release. I currently own Virtua Fighter 5 on the Xbox 360 and I LOVE it. Virtua Fighter is the favourite fighting series of all time. I really want the content in Virtua Fighter 5R. Either make it available via DLC and update, or allow us to buy the game seperately. If priced around $40, it would do well. Honestly, I will get the game regardless of price.

I've signed up just to show my enthusiasm for the Virtua Fighter series! I would buy VF5R in an instant! The same goes for Shenmue 3!

I would love to see Virtua Fighter 5R come to consoles in the US. There is now a much greater install base for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in comparison to the number of systems that VF5 originally released to.

I did not pick up the series until Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution, but VF5 was the first game I bought for the PS3. I have literally spent hundreds of hours playing it. A updated version with solid net-code would be a day one purchase for me. After getting hooked on Virtua Fighter... I simply can't go back to the other franchise fighters that I used to enjoy... they just aren't as deep or engrossing as VF.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

I first got into Virtua Fighter after purchasing VF4 on the PS2. I loved the game, and also purchased VF4 Evolution, and VF5 Online for the X360. I really enjoy the VF series and am looking forward to Virtua Fighter 5R on PS3 or X360.

My name is Lucas Hersh, I currently live in long island, NY. I have been a fan of virtua fighter since vf2 on the sega genesis. I remember paying $60 for virtua fighter 5 on my 360 and its one of those games at least to me that would be worth every penny even if it retailed for $100. I think it would be great to bring vf5r to consoles, you would make so many of us fans happy. Virtua Fighter is my TOP favorite video game fighting franchise and no other franchise will take it from the top of my favorites.

I have been playing virtua fighter since the first game was released in the arcade and the series was the reason i bought a saturn and subsequently a dreamcast. The game is like no other fighting game on the market and I still have copies of VF1, 2, 3, 4, 4 evolution, 5 and even fighter megamix. The one game I do not have in my collection is VF5r as it has not been released...yet! In the UK the arcade business is not as big as it used to be therefore my only hope to play this great game is for yourselves at Sega to bring it home. Please bring this game home AND to the UK

I dont post or visit often but once I saw this on IGN.com's site, I had to throw in my two cents. Virtua Fighter is, without a doubt, the best 3D fighting has available. My friends and I put countless hours into VF5 on PS3 and Online on 360. We've been clamoring over a possible VF5R but to no avail. Although we dont play VF as avidly as we once did, I'll be first in line to preorder my copy the second it is announced. Being an avid fighting game player (sf4), a welcome switch up to another revered series and stellar gameplay mechanics is always welcome [IMG]

I love the Virtua Fighter franchise. It is the Gold Standard of fighting games and Virtua Fighter 5R should come to the West.

I won't bore with history of me as a gamer. All I will say is that I need this game. Please SEGA, make this happen.

    Make Shenmue 3 also please!

Hello. My name is Rick. I have been gaming for approximately 30 years and have been a fan of Sega for the majority of those years. I most certainly remember when the original Virtua Fighter made its arcade debut back in 1993. I became an instant fan of the series at that point seeing as Virtua Fighter was Sega's answer to the highly popular Street Fighter II and that Sega had implemented its own personality and unique high-tech style that the Company was always known for.

I have since enjoyed the series and every one of its iterations. As a long-time gamer, I do not want the series to stop and I wish to see a release of Virtua 5 R hit North American PS3s and Xbox 360s. Additionally, I would like to see an eventual Virtua Figher 6 release for both coin-op and console.

    My message do Sega:

Greetings, i'm from Portugal and am a huge fan of fighting games in general. I was introduced to the genre when i was about 6 or 7 years old(i'll turn 20 later this year), with Mortal Kombat and the following years brought me to meet and explore the big dogs of 3D fighting.

I'm a great fan of Dead or Alive, not because of fan service, but because i consider the series to be a kind of "shortage" of VF, being a more straight to the point game, and not so strategical. I'm a fan of Tekken, but am growing seriously tired of it's 32 bit era controls (haven't played Tekken 6 yet, so i can only speak as far as Tekken 5 goes). I don't like SoulCalibur that much, to me, it's the most overrated series in the genre.I'm a BIG fan of Virtua Fighter, for simply being the greatest 3D fighting game series out there, the deepest and most technical, and overall the most rewarding.

And me, as a fan of both Sega in general, being grown playing Sega titles on Sega platforms (let me just not start to brag about my rage towards Sega's lack of balls to kick in the industry with a new gen console), humblely communicate that i would be more than happy to see a port of Virtua Fighter 5 R to the current generation of home consoles (i know its asking too much, but while my 360 isn't home, i would sure love to know that VF5R was out for the PC too...)

    Martinho, Porto, Portugal.
    Thank you.
