Virtua Fighter 4: Evo is truly a gem in my collection. The series as a whole is fun, fast, and fluid, and with fighting games gaining ground again, I believe VF can stand with them. Please give us VF5R, don't let Namco and Tekken dominate!

I have owned every single copy of the Virtua Fighter series that came to consoles. Now i find myself addicted to watching videos of the newest incarnation of that franchise. Don't keep us out of it, bring us VF5R to consoles so we may atleast stop watching videos for awhile and actually play it.

    Dear Sega

I played Virtua Fighter (ps2) for the first time in late 2002, when someone had brought the game to a gamers' gathering. I was stunned by the movement, by the feel, by the realism, by the moves and the music! I quickly ran out the next day to buy the game, ran home to convince my brother to join me in this awesome franchise. He didn't, of course, have a choice after seeing it in action.

I felt the calling right away. Wolf and Akira quickly became my favourite characters in Virtua Fighter 4. The variety of realistic moves made my martial art heart leap of joy evey time we landed a combo or a setup! When EVO came out i quickly added Goh to my list of "main characters".

Why I love Virtua Fighter? Some I've already said, like realism in moves, music and the feel. But there is another element which is not in this game, and at the same time makes it a better one. There are no clones! No character clones, no really cloned moves (street fighter and tekken both have their x amount of uppercutters to mention one example). Virtua Fighter got variety and made it awesome to a level where no other fighting game has been! In addition to this, Virtua Fighter requires a player to work to win. With it's complex engine it really outbeats games in the same genre.

I am now a member of the board in Norway's leading fighting game community. We've been through a lot of fighting games over the years, but I've rarely seen such dedication to a game among players as they showed to Virtua Fighter 4: EVO. In 2004 we managed to arrange a gathering in Oslo. Players from Norway, Sweden and Denmark gathered to do what we loved the most in gaming - play Virtua Fighter 4: EVO. Tournaments were constantly played over the next 72 hours. Some players even bought their own Evolution and Final Tuned! Ever since then Virtua Fighter has had a great impact on the scene. Everything from small gatherings, bigger gatherings, multi country gatherings, tournaments and more have been held in the name of Virtua Fighter.

Even though Virtua Fighter 4: EVO and Virtua Fighter 5 are good console games, they won't fill the empty spot that's waiting for Virtua Fighter 5R. The local (Norwegian) competition has decreased a lot since 5R hit the arcades. Old can be good, but even powerful batteries lose their power over time. We need a new source of power in our fighting community. We would very much like Virtua Fighter 5R to be that source.

    Thank you
    Sincerely

Virtua Fighter is just an amazing game all around and should be spread out for a larger fanbase. The game doesn't have that much support in places that aren't Japan but it still keeps itself alive, thriving.

If this were to be on console, I'm certain more people would be opened up to the greatness that is Virtua Fighter.

I myself didn't get acquinted with it until 5, but then a purchase of VF4 Evo taught me everything I needed to know about the game. Fast paced, balanced, and just plain fun.

Please release VF5R on console. You already have a confirmed purchase with praticially everyone in this form and more would be certain to follow.

I would buy VF5R on it's release day if it ever gets released on console. I love the series and it's true shame that it gets no support outside of Japan. Please release a console version of Virtua Fighter 5: Revolution.

Will this work? Probably not, but whatever.

Started playing Virtua Fighter way back when the first game came packed in with the Sega Saturn. Never was a serious player, but but for a good long time me and my brother would sit down in front of a crusty old tube and and played a couple of days a week. Always fun as there was always more to learn and figure out. We never got bored, and it was another reason to be loyal to that Sega name. Of course we bought VF2, then we got a Dreamcast along with VF3tb. And then there was the end of the Dreamcast. :-(

Eventually caved in and got a PS2 with VF4, but by then we finally grew up and went our own separate ways and didn't play for years, until I finally caught wind that VF5 was released on the 360 with online play. Ended up buying a 360 just for the game, and reinvigorating my love for fighting games in the process. Unfortunately I was a year late on the Virtua Fighter online bandwagon. Perhaps it was ahead of its time, as VF tends to be. However now that Street Fighter has cultivated a new generation of fighting game fans it'd be the perfect time to release VF5R. With solid online that would be enough for me to be at my local video game retailer day one, and evangelize the game to anyone willing to listen. Please make it happen Sega, and thanks for the memories.

I truly believe that Virtua Fighter 5 is the best, most deep, and fun fighting game ever. I really would love to play Virtua Fighter 5 R and would buy it on PS3 and 360 if online play was available for both platforms. With the resurgence of fighting games, growing communities with streaming video and plentiful events, this game really could realize the potential all the fans are hinting at. Also the game can be further supported with DLC based off all the improvements made to the coin-op VF5R.

I have been a fan of VF since VF2. I really loved VF4, VF4E, and VF5. Please give me a chance to enjoy VF5R. Sega is the best, and VF5 is king.

I've been playing VF since VF1 on arcade. I've been following all of the sequels from Sega Saturn's vf2 and fighter's megamix to vf5 on ps3 and 360. It is my FAVORITE fighting series. Please release vf5r on a console. Oh, and Shenmue 3 as well!

My name's Zack Jones, and I'm from San Jose, California, United States.

Please bring Virtua Fighter 5R to consoles. Virtua Fighter 5 and Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution are my two favorite fighting games of all time, and I played both of them exclusively on consoles. I live in an area that has a relatively vibrant arcade scene, and even I have to admit that arcades are well on their way out, sad as that may be.

The truth is that fighting games without console releases have virtually no chance of viability here in the United States, and as this petition shows, Virtua Fighter has many dedicated fans here(and in other countries) who would happily spend their hard-earned money on a console version of VF5R.

I also want to add that if there were any time to bringing a fighting game to consoles, it would be now. Since the release of Street Fighter 4 last year, fighting games have seen a resurgence in popularity. It only makes sense to strike while the iron's still hot.

    Thank you for listening.

    dear SEGA
my name is MARK PITCHFORD ive been playin VF since 07 when it came out for the XBOX 360 and since then ive only been playin fighting games almost exclusively!! im having lots of fun with it even going as far as entering tournaments and going to gatherings just to play VF and be apart of the community. right now the fighting game community as a whole needs you to release VF5R or VF6. the fighting game scene is picking up again and the genre is elevating what can be done with each of its franchises it would be a shame if you didnt show why you (SEGA) was the best at what you do!

please make VF5R for console or release a major patch/update that incorporates all thats been done in VF5R

your friend and loyal VF supporter

I have been playing VF for quite awhile now. I played on the Sega Saturn. I still have the disc. And I played in the Arcade. Well, actually here in Richmond, VA Putt-Putt Golf and Games on Midlothian Turnpike was where my buddies, Joshua, Craig and Mikel would play VF. It was my buddy Josh's and my favorite fighter. Those were good times back in the 90s when arcade was king. But now we are into the console generation. I purchased VF5 for the PS3 when it came out and I still play it. But I would definitely by it for PS3 again with online and trophies! Or it would be great if it was DLC too. I like fighting games, but VF5 is definitely my favorite out of the current generation. It just needs a little bit added to it to be on top!

VF is one of the great fighting games right up there with tekken and soul calibur and deserves to be ported to consoles where more people will be able to enjoy its greatness.

I was thrilled at the announcement of the Xbox 360 version being made of Virtua Fighter 5 with included online gameplay. I will be ecstatic if VF5R comes out on 360 also... I now have an Arcade Stick, so I will be able to get into it a lot easier..
