Been playing Virtua Fighter since it was first released on THE SATURN!!! Do you remember that??? THE SATURN!!!!!!!!!
Ever since then I've purchased every VF game released.

I love this series & consider it the best 3D fighting game ever. The level of detail & technique is amazing.

I never understood why the decision to leave out online play from the PS3 version was made but this needs to be corrected.

With the release of VF5R, I've been waiting for the day that this version would be released on the home consoles.

SEGA needs to wake up & see that the demand is there. This will be a must buy for me if released.

Sega has actually been doing great over the past couple of years, what with the advent of the Yakuza series and Valkyria Chronicles. If VF5R were to be released on consoles, then there would be no doubt in my mind that Sega has officially entered a new age of awesome. As a fighting game maniac, I would love nothing more than to play the latest and greatest rendition of Virtua Fighter. If it happens, regardless of whether it would be DLC or retaio, I swear to get it as soon as it comes out.

While I haven't read through all of these posts, I'm -pretty sure- that a good deal of them are begging for the PS3 version to be online-enabled.

I have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I don't have Live. Thus, I don't have VF5 Online. It always bugged me that the PS3 version of VF5 wasn't online-enabled. I know I'm late to the party in saying this, but wouldn't that have been an excellent display of the PS3's online capabilities at launch?

Regardless of a woulda's, coulda's, or shoulda's, -VF5R Online- has all the potential in the world to become a hit on PS3. Imagine just how many people have been DYING to go head-to-head online with VF5 on their PS3. I'm certainly no exception. NOW imagine them getting their hands on the IMPROVED, ONLINE-ENABLED version.

C'mon, Sega. You can't lose, here. Heck, clip the price down a little from $59.99, and you'll probably sell 'em like ice-water in Hell. Remember doing that for VF4:Evo? Huh? Huh??

I mean, unless you're afraid of making money, or something, this sounds like a solid deal for both of us, here.

I am a die hard Sega Fan. If it isn't Sonic, It's Virtua Fighter. My first fighting game was Virtua Fighter when I was 6. I fell in love. I own all of the sega consoles except for the CDx/32x/Master system. I have all of the VF games from 1-5 including Remix. I was pleased with playing VF5R in arcades. I was even more pleased with how well Jean has developed.

As a follower of your exploits Sega, please... PLEASE... release VF5R to 360/PS3.

When I first saw a video of 5R on youtube.com i was like oh damn i gonna rush to the store and have it but they told me it's the arcade exclusive that was kinda sad. I'm eager to buy this item more then everything else so Sega please release VF5R for Xbox 360/PS3.

Well I consider myself new to VF even thought I played the very first incarnation in the arcade, VF2 on the Saturn and VF3 on the dreamcast.

It's not until I got VF5 that I have began to understand the true tactical depth that applies to VF games.

I believe that a release of VF5R on console would fantastic but I also believe it would have to be done correctly. By that I mean a universal region release (don't release it in Japan, then 3 months later in US, then 6 months later in Europe).

I would definitely buy VF5R as long as the net code was good and going on VF5 net code I would expect it would be.

Hi, while I'm new to the forums one of my main reasons for joining is this petition. While I've been aware of the virtua fighter brand since I was a kid, I admittedly never owned the game till the 5th iteration, and although many a fighting game has been released since it's outing I've yet to find a more fulfilling/rewarding fighting experience. I can honestly say that should Virtua fighter 5r be released whether in the form of Downloadable content or a whole new game entirely, it would be an immediate and essential purchase.

    Dear Sega

Please release VF5R for console. As a life long Virtua Fighter fan it just kills me when I see a new version of my favorite game and I can't play it. I've bought every VF release on day 1 from Sega Saturn, PC, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360. I even imported my own FT kit once it was clear it would never get a console release. Basically I will do whatever it takes to play your game as it's hands down the best fighting game series to ever exists.

Thanks for your time and please keep in mind I'm not alone in feeling this way. I know a lot of people who are just as crazy about Virtua Fighter as I am and are hoping VF5R gets a console release.

    Sincerely

    Dear Sega,

I have been playing Virtua Fighter for a long time and I have always loved the game and it's mechanics. With VF5R out I'm constantly looking at match video's on the internet of the game from Japanese arcade machines constantly wanting to play it. You should absolutely port this game on the ps3 and xbox360 because you will make a lot of fans in the rest of the world very happy and also revive the Virtua Fighter scene.

    Sincerely

    Dear Sega,

Although, I play fewer video games as life goes on, I'll always find time for quality titles such as the Virtua Fighter series.

I started playing VF from its earliest arcade iterations, driving from arcade-to-arcade, enjoying the competition. As arcades have largely disappeared from the U.S., I rely on console releases to enjoy my hobby with friends online as well as my wife (a budding Jacky player).

We've purchased every Virtua Fighter released in the U.S., spanning multiple consoles. From what I've seen of the enhancements in VF5R, it would also be a day 1 purchase for us. Please consider releasing the game for home consoles here in the U.S.

    Thank you,

    Dear Sega,

I've met a lot of great people through my time playing Virtua Fighter. I've been playing fighting games for as long as I can remember, but VF4: Evo introduced me to the world of competitive gaming, and it's been nothing if not an exciting, dynamic, and engaging experience.

While I know that arcades outside of Japan have not been doing well, I think it's very unfair that people who play console games get treated so poorly. There are millions of people that would love this new version of VF if you would give them a chance to experience it the way it was meant to be experienced: in a competitive atmosphere, and with all the cool stuff that only the Arcades get to have (VF.TV, enormous customization options, and sponsored tournaments).

You can't blame us for feeling abandoned, because you've given only the people in Japan a chance to experience the great, exciting game that you've created. We want to be a part of that too! Please, put VF5R on consoles, and put your hearts into it, and make it as amazing as the arcade version that awes us every day.

I love VF and played for 5years now. I always see the VF5R movies in Youtube but I can never play. Please give us a chance to play this wonderful game for us.
I think we should putas much message as possible.

Thanks to kaamage for this great site.
Theres a lot of members around the world with high skills in this fighting simulator, new versions: kick ass possibilities. it's the real question.
that is the question that we want VF5 R in our consoles.
    new posibilities.
    its not a simple game.
when i try to explain the inmensity of virtua fighter i compared with other games. but i failed.
the most aproximately comparison is the real world.
you have done a great work. and a work is needed to be recognized, and the best way for it is to present it on the tokyo game show, receiving awards. be a blockbuster in stores.
    ads in tv. Why?

because whe expect it as the fucking jesucrist.

Sincerely, i played VF series since VF2 in my Sega Saturn and have no comparision with other games of the same genre.

Virtua Fighter and am2 can presume that our game becomes part of one the most important museums http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtua_Fighter_(series) of USA

And please, if you really plan to sell any game do a favor, put a TV ad. Nintendo here are spamming a lot of their brain age.

    Thanks.

PD: Can put the commentators voices in spanish liek "madworld"?

    I luv that game.

    Dear Sega,

Virtua Fighter is an unique fighting game. It's completely button-mashing unfriendly and tier-lists practically don't really matter. Those are what I really like about it compared to the other fighting games out there.

Because the game requires you to get technically very deep to be able to play the game on an enjoyable level, it only attracts the kind of people that are ready to invest a lot of energy and time in it to get better.
What has me switched over completely from Tekken to VF is the Virtuafighter.com community. Because the people's attitude here are so friendly, helpful and open; It made me feel like home and
so another VF member was born in an instance.

Don't make these nice people sad by not releasing VF5R on the console! Do it now without hesitation!!

Please! If Virtua Fighter 5R comes to console I can guarantee at least 3 more sales including my self. I've been playing Virta fighter since I first saw the first one in the arcade. It series has come so far and I would absolutely hate to miss out on the action. I even played the sega genesis version of 2! It hard to get my hands on but I managed to do it.

As an avid fan of the Virtua Fighter series I would sincerely hope to see the newest installment of it come to American consoles. The new character looks awesome!

    Thanks in advance,

My name is Junaid Nomani, I live in longisland, NY(New York) and go to binghamton university NY (New York).

After playing video games my entire life I have come to believe VF is the best series on the planet. I have put more hours into VF then any other game I have ever played. I started at VF5, and when my xbox360 broke, I bought a brand new one JUST BECAUSE VF5:Online is only for 360. There are MANY exclusives for PS3 that I wanted, but VF5:Online outweighs them all and so I bought another xbox360 just to play it!
    Reasons why I love VF-
    1. The game emphasizes MIND GAMES, and PREDICTING the other character above all else. This game isn't about memorizing huge combo strings or learning to input super-ultra-special moves, instead it focuses on learning both your own character and your opponent's and manipulating the match in your favor.
    2. AMAZING CHARACTER BALANCE! Whats the point of picking up a game if you know you WILL HAVE to play a cookie-cutter character and play with a cookie-cutter style to win. There is no room for creativity in unbalanced games. With VF I know that I can play in practically any style gameplay I want, and if I have enough skill I can win! Its also nice to know I can pick a character based on there personality, appearance, moves etc instead of just the tier list like in other games.
    3. Online net-play- I don't know many people who play fighters, and almost no one who plays VF seriously near me. But thanks to VF5:Online's great netcode I can play human players with minimal lag! Thank you for designing a game with such a good netcode!
    4. Customization- I love how you can make a character look exactly how you want him to look with all the costume and cloths options! Everyone looks different! You can practically identify a person based on there favorite avatars because there are so many combinations that everyone's pretty unique.
    5. the community- VFDC is byfar the best gaming community that I have been a part of. We discuss everything, everyone is respectable, unique, has there own opinions, and pretty hilarious! Its a great community!

Thank you for your time SEGA, please give us VF5R for consoles. If not for profit do it for the smiles you'll put on all our faces!
