I've been a Tekken player for years now and no other fighting game has managed to top the Tekken series for me, but I bought VF5 only two months ago as I felt like trying something different. I've been amazed by the sheer depth and complexity of it, and I've only tried using Pai so far!

I would love to be able to learn the game with a new installment, in this case, VF5R. And I can say the same thing for many of my friends who are primarily 2D fighting game fans.

    Dear Sega.

Thanks to the success of fighting games such as Street Fighter IV bringing back Fighting games into the general public's eye. Now, more than ever is a great time to bring what many consider to be the best 3d Fighting game out there to modern systems. Thanks to the strong dedication of fighting game fans, the game would not only advertise itself in a sense, but keep interest in the game high, as many players will be more than happy to teach newer players how to play and enjoy the game on a competitive level. My first VF was actually on the 360 and I wish i got into the series sooner. That said, I have wanted to play 5R for quite a while since footage has been posted online.

Please bring 5R to consoles in North America.

    Sincerely,

    Oscar Marin

I've never really dabbled into 3-d fighters much until I played VF5. It was the first 3-d fighter I got into and after playing the competition still holds a place in my heart. It was the first time I could actually see myself improving over time and there was so much more to learn. R seems to be all that and more so it would be a shame not to be able to play it.

I really hope you can consider a port of R, My friends and I are starving for it.

I will just make this short and simple. Virtua Fighter 5 R begs to be on consoles. I would pay good money for VF5R. I've played VF since the first one came out. I've enjoyed the game ever since. I would love to see a console release of VF5R come out. Heck, SEGA done a similar thing with Yakuza 3 by announcing it to places outside Japan, I think VF5R should get that kind of respect by sharing it amongst the world.

    Thanks,

    Aaron from Melbourne, Australia.

I think VF4 was the game that got me into the series. However getting into the competitive VF scene is near impossible in the states right now. I think this is mainly due to the fact that there is no new version of VF available. VF5 came out right before this big fighting game renaissance, which probably contributed to its small fanbase. I think now that the fighting game community has grown immeasurably in the US as of late, it is the perfect time to release a new VF for console. There's a pretty strong street fighter scene here, and an even stronger tekken scene(albeit smaller) and despite our different tastes in games, we almost unanimously agree that VF is the deepest fighting game we've played, yet the current lack of interest on a competitive level keeps us from playing it seriously. We also agree that if a new game were to come out (VF5R) we'd play it. Now if fighting game communities from around the country feel the same, I'm sure that VF5R would be featured at majors like Evo2011. As an example, the tekken community didn't get an up to date game for a number of years, and as a result it wasn't played with any degree of regularity and was left out of some major tournaments. However this year Tekken 6 is on the Evo lineup. Sega, this is your chance to create a worldwide interest in VF on a new level. By the same coin, if the entire world is playing at the same high level, the metagame will only grow because of it. This is truly a renaissance of fighting games, don't miss out on this chance.

First a big thanks @ the initiators and my best wishes for this promising 2nd petition!

I know, love and play Virtua Fighter from the very beginning - this said: The release of Virtua Fighter (1) in the arcades.

Over the years my passion for this great fighting series remains still alive keeping the candle lighting by
    - VF1 - Arcade/PC
    - VF2 - Arcade/PC,
    - VF3tb - Arcade/Dreamcast (RIP), - Systemseller 4 me !
    - VF4 - Arcade/PS2 - Systemseller 4 me btw
    - VF4 evolution - PS2
    - VF5 - Xbox 360 - Systemseller 4 me!

I still remember an version for Gamegear.
This includes as an unique feature STORY MODE and Cutscenes!
    Very nice.

    Long term short sense:
Thanks to Networkplay at Xbox Live we still find competitors and Virtua Fighter enthusiasts from all over the world and don`t have to fall in sorrow for the lost golden arcade years here in Europe, especially in Germany!

Regarding all this and the grat recall from the VF community, dear SEGA and especially AM2 Team:
Please dont neglect us all and fullfill our wet dream:

    Release Virtua Fighter 5 Revolution.

    Big thanks in advance!

My name is Jayson from cleveland. I discovered Virtua Fighter last year and quickly became entralled with the level of depth the game has. My experience with fighters started with Mortal Kombat, when I was a kid I found the violence amusing, but the game was empty. All you do is watch someone else show off and get kicks from the show, that amusement is short lived. I picked up Virtua Fighter 5 last year and fell in love with video games all over again. I always felt inside the fight, not just observing, when a punch was thrown I was given options to deal with it (instead of just hold back) I could block, parry, sidestep or interrupt the enemy's attack. I would like nothing more than to live new experiences with Virtua Fighter 5 and would greatly appretiate a console port of Virtua Fighter 5 R.

I have played Virtua Fighter since the original came out in the arcade, then on Sega Saturn. I now own a PS3 and I don't own Virtua Fighter 5 because of its lack of an online mode. I would totally buy Virtua Fighter 5R for PS3! Please bring VF5R to PS3!

    I own VF5 for PS3 and Xbox360. I don't even own a ps3 yet.
Don't give up on Virtual Fighter, The Fighter Generation is still alive.
If Tekken, Streetfighter, and Blazblue do not show you, Nothing will.
One thing that is going to be needed is Good Netcode, THIS IS A MUST!
If it can be played online with minimum lag it will sell like hotcakes.

Feel I should add to this too, I would definitely buy vf5r if it came out on 360/ps3. Really enjoyed playing 5 but the online scene kinda died out slightly when R came out, I suppose its to be expected when you see vids on youtube of people playing an improved version.

I bought Tekken 6 but its not a patch on VF in my opinion so im hoping one day I'll be able to play VF5R!

    Hello,

Sega, I would buy VF5R the day it comes out for Xbox 360 (as I did for VF5). I even bought the official Hori stick for the game.

I have been playing VF since part 3 on a casual level, and I have bought every revision. I feel VF5R needs a release so it can stay in the public eye as a top tier fighting game. Also, since I live in America with few arcades, I have not been able to play it yet, so a home release is crucial!!

So to wrap up, please put out VF5R on console (with great online)!! [IMG]

Virtua Fighter 5 was a brilliant edition to the franchise, it upheld the series long standing tradition of astounding visuals and addictive furious game play, I have played it on ps3 off line against my family and friends for countless hours and was so excited to hear that an updated version had been developed, VF4's update was a brilliant step forward with awesome new characters and hours worth of additional content and I fully believe VF 5r is already set to surpass that. I am really excited about jean kujo because of his bone crunchingly aggressive traditional karate style and I can't wait to see the subtle tweaks and flourishes to the many stages that I have grown so familiar with, I want to play it online for many hours more, western release, western release WESTERN RELEASE!

Virtua fighter 5 was one of the most jaw dropping fighting games ever. Virtua fighter 4 and vf4:evo had turned me into a true believer. VF has fans all over and a strong fan base in america and alot of people i've been talking to want this update to make it to the states,as well as the new character jean and returning fighter taka arashi, nobody in america want to be denied that. I hope you strongly consider this.

    Dear Sega,

I have been playing VF since VF4:Evo for the PS2, but have been technically a fan since I saw VF2 in my local arcade all those years ago.

In my very humble opinion, no other fighting game on the planet can match VF in ANY category. And VF5R improves upon the series once again in almost every way, further widening the gap between it and its competitors.

Please do not let the loyal VF community outside of Japan miss out on your latest masterpiece. Keeping VF5R to yourselves would not only be a great loss for us, but also for the many new fans of the series it would create if you released it.

    Thank you for your time.

I am rather new to Virtua Fighter. Having only purchased VF4 EVO for my PS2 and VF5 for my PS3. I really enjoyed both games and would surely purchase future VF games. I would not require any more than the bare basics from a VF5R release. Just as long as I can play it. Please reconsider VF5R for consoles in light of your current and expandable fanbase that unfortunately has no arcade VF5R to enjoy.
