seeing VF5R was the most nalstalgic time i ever experinced in my life. i didnt even know 5r was out on till i recognized that sarah"s movements were different on youtube and i thought it was vf5. till i looked closely it was 5r. i was so shocked and happy that i didnt know what to do. ever since then ive been checking back franticly to see wether or not it was coming outand i lost hope and put down the controller for a year. untill i realized that even if sega didnt produce 5r, that their are classics still out their. so i dusted my xbox 360 off and got back into vf5 seriously for the first time in all my life, picked up a hori fighting stick and dominated. thats why we need v5r. so we can continue to dominate in virtua fighter and bring compiteion world wide. so please sega. bring VF5R to america

I have been playing 2D fighters for a number of years, now. 3D is still hard for me to grasp. I tried Soul Calibur when 3 came out, and a friend and I played Tekken 5 on and off.
But the only 3D Fighter that really felt solid to me was Virtua Fighter 5. I've been having a blast with it, but hoping for VF5 R to come out

Tekken and Street Fighter gatherings are in full swing. Minds are open and fingers are learning. I've tried so many times to convince good players to play VF because its the best fighting game. Ever. The vast reservoir of technical depth wrapped in a flowing, stylish, and artistically mature blanket; but I am tired. My efforts have been so noticeably diluted by the lack of a current incarnation. VF has been seriously wounded by the lack of 5R console release...BUT THE SOUL STILL BURNS! Do it! Fan the flame! Fuel the fire of competition again! We're all still here! Arguably the best gamers in the world, because they've mastered the most rigorous and complete game system the world has ever seen! The spark never died, Sega, don't snuff it out yourselves.

I'm not too sure exactly when I picked up VF4Evo but what I can remember are the countless hours of practice and time I spent playing quest mode. At the time I wasnt even aware that each fighting game had a scene so most of my time with VF was spent alone but I didnt care I was so addicted to VF. When VF5 came out I was in Iraq and I remember being so excited when I ordered my PS3 and a copy of VF5 for when I got home. Fast foward to the Xbox 360 release of VF5 and the complete disappointment that I felt as a PS3 owner that my copy was pretty much obselete after once again jumping headfirst into the game and putting hours into VF5. Now years later Ive been playing SF4 and Blazblue and Ive just let go of my hopes for another console VF but seeing that someone was willing to put in the time to help make it happen for the players I didnt think taking the time to register and post would be too much to ask of myself.

Haven't used my VFDC account in some time.

    Dear Sega,

VF is simply THE best 3D fighter out there. Both technical and deep, this game really sets the bar for what 3D fighters should aspire to be. High level VF is simply a joy to watch if you can understand the mind games going into it.

It is a shame that it is not that popular outside of Japan. But a large part of that is because rarely do international players have access to the latest and greatest version of the game. Many, choosing instead to play other games as a result. But it should speak volumes about the support of your most dedicated players that many of them are still willing to travel long distances to support the appearance of their favourite game at larger events despite the fact that they are playing an outdated version of the game.

Here in Singapore, there was a good deal of interest in VF5. The announcement of VF5:R brought so much excitement to the community, and after seeing the first vids of the game, many of us were amazed at some of the things our characters could now do. Unfortunately, as time went on, the inability to play your latest and greatest has caused much interest to drop off from local players. But still, every week, people gather to play the itnernational version VF5 at the arcade. Or gather at a LAN shop to play the game on 360.

Unfortunately, I'm sad to say I'm not one of them. Though from time to time I've dropped by to play a few games. There are too many other good games to play. And knowing that I'm playing an outdated version of the game can only make me sad that I likely won't be able to get to play what would seem to be a vastly superior game.

Although I personally have moved on to playing other games for now, you can bet that a release of VF5:R on console or an international arcade release locally would get me back into the fold. And I and many others would do everything they could to promote the game locally.

I sincerely hope that you would consider giving the international community a chance to help you promote the game to more players. VF was once a household name in fighting games. It can be once again if you give it a chance.

I'm a relative late-comer to the Virtua Fighter series. I may have played the first two games a few times in arcades, but I never really got into it until I picked up VF4 Evolution for PS2. I really liked the game, and consequently VF5 was the first game I bought when I got a PS3. I have since tracked down older versions that I missed out on and have started to play the series more and more. I was really looking forward to playing VF5R as I saw more and more about it, but then it never came out for consoles. I would immediately buy VF5R if it were to be released for either PS3 or 360.

From Spain we are very interested in the conversion of the arcade to the new next-gen consoles.

Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game I played in my life and with which I'm still hooked.

The only reason that Sega needs, is that there are fans of this great game outside of Japan that deserve to be able to play it.

    Removing old personal info.

This is my first post, porting VF5R to PS3 is enough to get me to register.

    Dear Sega,

I haven't been passionate about games in a long time until i got my hands on the 5th game in the series (I'm not counting ports and remakes at this time). I can officially say i have dedicated more time evaluating and deciphering this game than on any role playing game you can imagine, and I am a World of Warcraft player! Many of us want to continue our studies and push forward in our endeavors with the competitive scene and VF5:R is definitely the exciting push we have been waiting on.

    MAKE IT HAPPEN OUTSIDE JAPAN!

I have all the Virtua Fighter games in my collection and this is the best of all. Please SEGA port this game to xbox 360, many people in Spain will be grateful for it to you buying the game.

VF5 is by far the best current 3d fighter and probably the only 3d fighter I'll bother with this generation.

I'm a little sad that I can't be competitive in it because VF5R is only out in Japan. Please bring a console port to the US.

The only Virtua Fighter I've played extensively is 4. I liked it quite a bit, but had nobody to play it with, so I lost interest pretty quickly. I didn't have a PS3, or a 360 when VF5 came out, but I got a PS3 recently. I haven't played VF5, because I've been holding out for 5R. Port it to the PS3, and I'll definitely buy it.

This is not the first time, the video-game industry had " broke my heart ".
First Duke Nukem Forever when I was a kid, then Starcraft : Ghost and now Virtua Fighter 5 R ...

VF is my favorite fighting game, and now I'm playing Tekken 6, because nobody cares about VF5 here, in France. We want VF5R ! I like Tekken ... but not as much as VF ! A lot of fans had abandonned Sega over the years, Shenmue fans, Streets of Rage fans (And I'm with them), some of the Sonic fans too. You let them down !
This is the chance to prove you care about the gamers, about your fans, about US !

Make VF5 hit the console and we'll all buy it. I'll even use all my " journalistic " powers to promote the game here in France.

    We're counting on you.
