I want Sega to bring out VF5R as well to consoles. I have played Virtua Fighter since VF1 hit the arcades. With Virtua Fighter 5 on PS3, I imported two Virtua Stick High Grades so I could get the authentic arcade feel of Virtua Fighter 5. On top of that Sega could you bring an international version of VF5R to the arcades as well?

    Dear Sega,

I haven't been playing VF for all that long considering the length and history of the series. I started in VF4: Evolution on the PS2, but without any real competition nearby, I couldn't improve much. But with the release of VF5 Online for the Xbox, I was able to live in the environment in which improvement comes from; constant competition against varying opponents.

I have been a long time fighting game player, but never ventured into the large competitive community, never attended an event, or traveled to a gathering of players, until VF5. As soon as this game dropped, a friend notified me of one of the largest American VF gatherings available, NYG. With the implementation of online features in VF5, I felt ready to break into the competitive scene. Countless fighting games have come and gone, but only one had the appeal to garner my attention and direct it fully into learning the system of the game, VF.

When VF5R was released into the Japanese arcade, I always had the hope that it would eventually be released on consoles in America; And I still hope to this day that it will. It would be that one thing to steal my attention from other endeavors, and make the fighter in me grow again. The VF community outside of Japan WANT this to happen, they NEED this to happen, and they will wait with bated breath for this necessary release of VF5R on consoles.

    Dear Sega,

I'd love it if you kept expanding on your premiere fighting game, and bring VF5R to consoles. You may think it's a risky move, but why not do like Atlus and print fewer copies according to sales data on VF5, so that you can make the best situation for both your company and the fans. If you take precautions and play it right, this may become a positive move and investment.

Just showing my support for this worthwhile cause.
I play fighting games on a casual level, as I can't commit the time to playing competitively. However, I've played every VF game and have loved every VF game, more than any other fighter.
I've also purchased every VF game, Sega, as have everyone else on this petition I am sure. And I would purchase VF5R in an instant, just as everyone else here would.
Please, try to find a way to release VF5R to its willing supporters.
VF is a sublime experience; delving into its particulars has always felt more rewarding than doing the same with any other fighter out there.
    Here's to a good cause!

    Dear Sega,
The first thing I like to mention is that Virtua Fighter is a very great game. I started playing Virtua Fighter on a Sega Saturn console. The development team has done a great effort on each release. Virtua Fighter is unique.
I started playing Virtua fighter 2 on a Sega Saturn console. Comparing it to other fighting games; the only games that were competing against Virtua Fighter was Tekken and Street Fighter back in the 1990’s. I already disliked Tekken 1 & 2, but Street fighter is always a fun game to me. I am always debating on which is better; Street Fighter or Virtua Fighter. Looking at the Street Fighter series; there are quite a few bad games Street Fighter has presented unlike Virtua Fighter. Street Fighter: The movie, Street Fighter ex 2 and 3 were bad Street fighter games in example. Naming a bad game from the Virtua Fighter series; I would choose Virtua fighter 1 and that’s just the starting point. That is to show you that I love each of the games in order.
The development team has done a great effort on each release. When I first started on Virtua Fighter 2, I decided to pick up Virtua fighter remix and Fighters Mega mix. I was surely impressed on how much the graphics improve on Virtua Fighter 2 compare to Virtua Fighter remix. From Virtua Fighter 2 to Fighters Mega mix; the graphics has decreased a bit, but the content has been tremendously improved. Fighters Mega mix has a training stage, two options either to choose Fighting Vipers game play or Virtua fighter, and a large variety of characters I have every seen on a fighting game. Fighters Mega mix, isn’t a game that I should really compare, but that was one of the greatest Idea’s Sega/AM2 came up with.
I remember reading a magazine and saw Virtua Fighter 3. I thought it would release for the Sega Saturn but never did until I got a Sega Dreamcast on 1999. As usual, the graphics and the game play have improved. There was a new set of skills, the stage were a bit more creative, extra cinemas, new characters and a evade button.
Virtua Fighter 4, I have not really got the chance to play it because I thought it was coming to the Sega Dreamcast. I waited and waited and it never came until it came out for the Playstation 2 for 20 dollars I believe. I was a bit heart broken because I know how tremendously the game has improved comparing to the other previous version that I played. Not until Virtua Fighter 4 evolution came out. My friends know how much I loved Virtua Fighter and they decided to get it for me to play at their house. I was really shocked on the new engine. I thought it felt pretty stiff compare to the previous engine, which it was. I also notice a few moves were taken out like Jacky’s second Lightning kick. The one that he cocks his foot forward and bring it back and it could either hit you low or high at the end of the move. Also as usual, major improvement on the graphics, game play especially, move list and characters. I also remember playing a crazy game mode on the quest (Hyper Fighting mode) that your basic moves and special moves has no lag; it cancels out quickly.
Last but not least, Virtua fighter 4 evolution to Virtua Fighter 5. The character models were a surprised. I love it and I got use to it. Shun Di looks older and a bit skinnier; Jeffrey also looks a bit skinny, and Pai Chan has a bit more makeup. For the rest of the characters, they all pretty much look the same. I notice Virtua Fighter 5 was a bit slower than the previous Virtua Fighters, but at the same time it doesn’t feel slow depending on the situation, if your constantly thinking what will your opponent do next. The best thing about Virtua Fighter 5 was the online support. I never actually fight against another player that is actually better than me on that game. The online support makes it much easier, instead of traveling to meet others to play the game. The development team has done a very great job on the networking with in 6 months. That is after you guys pushed the game release back more since it was only suppose to be a arcade game home for consoles. This is one of the fighting games with the least of the network delay. I also notice two extra effects in the game play. The first new effects was a new way to hitting your opponent on that ground. The second new effect is to bounce your opponent off the ground. I find that pretty cool. I believe Virtua Fighter 5 is the only fighting game that can bounce your opponent off the ground like that.
I can’t really give a comparison on Virtua Fighter 5 to Virtua Fighter 5 Revolution, but looking at the YouTube footages. I already see a few new improves. More stages, more characters, more game play and move list. In a way it does remind me of Fighters Mega mix; big stages with small characters. I notice a extra effect has been added. You can knock your opponent on the ground, unable to tech roll. I pretty much stop watching the video’s because I don’t want to keep looking at a game that surely won’t release.
Virtua Fighter is very unique. There is no other video game company that had made a mistake on the series. There is no other game company that creates a major improvement on each game. Tekken and Street Fighter have a larger game library than Virtua fighter. Tekken is already on part 7 and Street fighter, well there are a lot of Street Fighter games. Please, I beg of you: Sega/Am2 development team. Release Virtua Fighter 5 R on consoles with online support (it is easier for those who cannot travel to meet one another at other places).
Also it doesn’t matter which console you bring it for, I know my friends would buy the game again for me to play it at their house. They also did that for Virtua Fighter 5 for PlayStation 3. They will surely do it for the next one.

    Dear SEGA,

I really like VF5 and it would be so awesome if you could release a console port of VF5R Ver.C for PS3 I would buy it in an instance and many other people I know would too.

I'm not about to make some ill-fated attempt at a life story here but I think it'd be pretty easy
still when you have a game like VF that you've played throughout your entire gaming history. I've
been playing (at arcades and at home), since Virtua Fighter 1.

It's an enormous disappointment for me to see great upgrades to the game that never get seen outside
of Japan, like VF5R, and/or then to consoles. I still have my copy of VF5/PS3, I still play it
regularly, but if I had VF5R, if it was online, if it had a good netcode, it would easily be my most played
    fighter ever.

...until Virtua Fighter 6 that is. I love this game. LET US HAVE IT ON CONSOLE SEGA! And thanks
    for all the fun times!

Dear Sega, we'd love to have VF5R in the States. I love playing VF5 on Xbox Live, and had an opportunity to play VF5R in Japanese arcades, and would love the experience at home as well.

I've been a fan of Virtua Fighter for years but only started playing the game recently. And let me tell you that playing the game and watching it are two totally different things!

I can sit in training mode for hours just trying to get my execution down and but die of boredom. There is sooo much to learn about this game; so much depth! To the untrained eye everything seems so basic but once you understand the game just a little bit there is just so much more to see (I can only imagine what a master of VF can see when they watch a match).

It's just such a shame that a game thats visually appealing graphic AND gameplay wise isn't released worldwide. There are thousands & thousands of fans out there that would give an arm & a leg to play this game.

PLEASE PLEASE PUT VF5R ON CONSOLE!!!! That way we can all know the difference between watching the game and playing it.

    Dear sega

my first VF was VF4E and loved it even though i didnt know anything about the technical stuff. i bought VF5 for ps3 and liked it but when VF5r came i felt like there wasnt any reason to play 5 anymore. If you ported the game for consoles i'd buy it even if it was over 100 euros.

    Dear Sega,

I didnt play vf until vf5 and i was astonished by the amount of depth and feel that game had. The netcode was without a doubt the best netcode ive ever played on for a 3-d fighter(and still is).
So all im asking is can you please bring VF5r to the USA and most countries in Europe so everyone can experience an update to one of the best 3-d fighters ever made.
I hope the development team hears me out.
    Thx again SEGA!.

    Dear Sega,

Been an avid fighting game fan since I was a child, and VF is a great series. Having the latest versions of a game is essential to a fighting game community if it wants to grow and thrive. so please bring VF5R to console.

I would like to see a console release for VF5R very much.

I've been playing VF since the initial arcade release, since than I have spent large chunks of time playing VF2 in the arcade at college and later VF4 and VF4 Evo on the console. I would buy a console release of VF5R. I would like a chance to play VF5R online with players around the world and at local competition.

The recent fighting game renaissance started by SF4 and perpetuated by Blazblue and Tekken 6 provides the perfect opportunity for VF5R.

The franchise is well known, respected, and filled with potential. With good online the series could receive the shot in the arm that it's been searching for.

    I sign this petition.

Virtua Fighter is what got me into 3D gaming. From the very first two that I played religiously. I've bought every copy of the game despite not being active in the community simply because I support the series and hold it in high regards. I've been hoping to get back into Virtua Fighter, but the lack of a console release in the USA has prevented me from doing so. With arcades being a dying breed here, I only have access to the game by watching videos and listening to people talk about it.

Personally, I had made a promise to myself to not only purchase VF5R when I heard about it's development, but also wished very much so to become a part of the community that supports this brilliant series. I was quite disheartened to find out that while there was not only not going to be a port for American arcades, but that there'd be nothing on console as well!

A fan base that spans the entire world is being denied an opportunity, and by keeping the game's exposure to one region of the globe it effectively kills the franchise's chance to flourish and shine once again.

Please release this game for console!
