I would say it takes a little more work to figure out what to do as a defensive player. Only because of the fact that you cant just attack back right away with a launcher most of the time..For me Lei Fei is annoying simply because Goh wiffs almost every move in certain stances and the monk can throw an attack faster out of that one stance than you can in your whole move list.. it just makes sense to just block and wait for a neutral stance.

The secret to mastering Goh is to make your opponent think twice before throwing that punch. When you do that then you have a good Goh. Plus only moron actually follow the flow chart.

Depends on the char, but in general you can only go so far mashing offensive strings before you need to learn frames/defence in order to stay competative. Especially against hgher level competition.
