    look at my avatar =)

The only time I usually crouch dash is for Sarah's charged attack... I've never done multiple crouch dashes in a serious fight, but I will when messing around with friends... I love to turn away then do backward crouch dashes toward my opponent... but that's just my screwed up sense of humor. I don't have any problem doing Sarah's 270F throws, especially after I learned you don't need to hit the diagonals for them to work. I've actually been able to reliably get Wolf's fastest timing giant swing out consistently the last time I bummed around with Wolf.

The 2 different joysticks have there pros and cons for me:

I can move around (standing dashes) much more precisely with a bat-style circular stick, but I sometimes have trouble finding the diagonals.

On a square based lolipop stick, I sometimes have difficulty doing /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif (go figure) but the diagonals are never missed... just slam the stick into the square's corner.

Half circle and 270 degree motions are not a problem on either, although I prefer the circular base stick for them.

It works fine. I used it for a week. No problems at all. A couple of the buttons and button covers need to be tightened so that they can't pop up, but that doesn't affect the stick's functions at all.

oh alright, thanks, that hori has square restrictor too right? getting my ps3 and my vshg on nov 5th, but that hori will get sent to me later this year, as a second stick

do you know what the timing is for a crouch buffer in a combo? like how early can you buffer in the crouch dash?

The hori stick has a square base, lolipop stick too, same as what you're getting from Shang, but the box is about 2/3rds smaller.

Buffering crouch dashes in combos is not one of my strong points... AFAIK its combo/character specific. Are you asking re: using Akira? Kage? Lau? someone else? Best thing to do is go into the dojo freetraining, and try different ways of doing the combo you want to do... Ask in the Akira or Kage forums about techniques for buffering in crouch dashes... be specific about what combos you have trouble with.

thanks for the tip, i'll hit up the akira boards then, it's his doublepalm in combos i can never get out perfectly, specially the shorter combos, with goh's shoulder ram i'm fine most of the time, altho i've yet to find out how i'm gonna be doin on stick with those moves, guess i'll have to relearn everything my hands know pretty much XD
