Why don't you shut the fuck up and play something else. I kid,
just play VF and learn as you go along. You're not going to
    learn this game easily.

Since when does adding a story make a game "user friendly"?

And if you think VF is hard on beginners, trust me, you will not find it funny to play Tekken against someone who's good at it.

And Tekken is really NOT a user friendly game.

You know what IS user friendly: Peeking in the manual! Reading doesn't hurt. I promise.

    Frames, same goes with Tekken.

Watch a Tekken 6 fight and watch a VF5 fight. Which will you find more entertaining to watch?

I feel like you guys are over looking my point just because i'm talking smack about Virtua Fighter.

    I say:
(the game's complexity makes the game not that fun!)

    you guys say:
(You just don't understand how it works, just practice and practice!)

    I say:
(I understand it, it is that the rules it enforces you, makes you feel like you are in a box. Stuck in a world of rules after rules. While in Tekken you can play it as fucktard and enjoy it, because the rules aren't as strict as vf, or you can play it as it is meant and you'll enjoy it more.)

    Then you say:
(Just get VF4:Evo to understand the game.)

    Nigga pleaseee!

if you don't like a very technical fighter and enjoy playing like a quote: fucktard, don't play vf.

imho, the technicality of it is the best part. you are not at all in a small box of rules, but your action depends on what the opponent is doing. VF is not about oooh I like this flashy kick, let's do it when I feel like it. it's about what just happened, and what is the best asnwer based on what you suspect your opponent will do.

ps, personally, I think T6 looks like ass. Flashy is not always the same as exiting.

Adding a story makes a game more enjoyable, makes the player get more involve with the game, makes the player have another reason to why they should keep on playing with the game.

Tell me, why is Final Fantasy so popular? Why are so many people are anticipating so much out of MGS4? Because the story in these games drives the player to see what happens next in the story, so they buy the game, beat the game and play it again to understand the game better. Hell, why did Assassin's creed sell so much? Maybe because the story was set in the crusades, because it had a good story?

Tekken is a user friendly game, I am a vivid player in tekken5: Dark ressurection and when i first approached tekken. I just took it as a joke, more or less i played it for the sake that it was another fighting game. But, when i realize that there's more to the game than what people talk about. I was more intrigued, more involved with its story and gameplay.

story is the least important part in a fighting game. they shouldnt even bother with stories in fighting games.

Why does it look like "ass"?

Your action depends what your opponent is doing. True. But, that really doesn't matter if you are playing against the Computer. VF's computer is just "too computerized". It was the same with VF4 and hell, it is even worser in VF5.

I can imagine you'll say that differently if VF deeply used it's story.

hell yea it matters when you play the computer. if you just do whatever all the time youll keep eating counter hits. analyse the situation and answer accordingly.
what you say about the cpu is the oppposite of what some of the vets here are saying, i.e. that the vf5 cpu (for the 360) is incredibly good. play in the hard arcades with dificulty set to expert.

but you dont play vs the cpu, you play actual players.

about tekken, the visuals just put me off. too much weird juggling for my taste. stupid characters. too many clone characters. etc, its just my personal oppinion.

    *edit*

no I wouldnt, story is just stupid in fighting games. VFs quest mode is the best single player system in a fighting game ive seen.

    You honestly don't understand vf,
it takes a while to fully grasp the system, even if (as I'm sure your about to tell me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif ) your a genius. You have to work for things in vf to truly get to the true gameplay elements.

I don't understand tekken's system as much as vf's but from what I know Vf's system makes alot more sense.
I'm not gonna go post my opinion based off flawed knowledge on tekken zaibatsu though /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

If your playing a fighting game for storyline and extra fluff that's your prerogative but it's not truly at the heart of what the game is, I guess games with no story are no good for you?..
If you don't like vf no one is forcing you to play it to be honest, maybe you are better off with tekken and rpg's metal gear solids etc.

    p.s
tekken = instant fun, not much work
vf= alot of work, but much much more fun eventually! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Tekken is not instant fun and is a lot of work :p

I doubt Shinfuxyoux really knows that much about Tekken's gameplay though.

I've never played Evo(sold PS2 after playing the hell out of VF4)
Will playing Evo make me better? Is the tutorial feature in Evo really all that helpful? I'll do anything to get better, even buy
another PS2/w Evo, if its worth it.

Your gameplay questions have already been answered (saved you the trouble of reading the manual).

There are constructive ways of having a vf vs tekken discussion, but this isn't one of them.
