Is down attack unblockable or something?

    I actually find this to be a two-edged sword. Sometimes when the opponent is just lying on the ground, I would try to jump away with 7p and end up pouncing on them when in reality I just wanted to jump away. Thing is, by that time, they have enough time to roll away from the bounce and I end up screwed. So, I've started jumping away if I don't INTEND to pounce with 7k .

    Yep, messed around with that move last night, and there's a definitely a free hit on wakeup. Given that I basically only ever use it by accident while trying to mash in a quick rise, this just makes it suck that much more;;

    All right, I have tested out the property of down attacks on dojo mode doing this and that. And they turns out to be un-guard-able as long as you don't tech roll.

    There seems to be a few frames after the normal wake up where you can't guard down-attacks while being invincible to any other kinds of attack. Because of this frames, down attack seems to be always guarrented as long as it connects w/ the opp.'s body.

    Other than TR-ing, the only way to avoid the down attacks, is to side or back roll while on the ground and to avoid physical contact w/ the opp's down attacks. However, the direction of roll also matters here depend on which down attack your opp. is using. Side roll is normally good against light down attacks but well timed heavy down attacks may track you and hit. The back roll nearly always escapes the heavy one, but usually is too slow for the light down attacks. A little guessing game here I guess...

    If you don't trust me, test out whether you can guard jeffrey's super down attack(8+K+G) after the splash mountain(33P+G). You will see what I mean.
