Hot damn....I've already lost my reputation as a real person for not showing up to any of these things. And sadly enough, my friend's getting back from Japan THAT DAY, so I'll be missing that VF get-together too.

I know, I'm a shame to the community and I should just go find the Ergheiz forum and hang with them instead.

 

Sorta Super Secret SoCal get together

Just wanted to say thanks to <font color="white">Dobi</font> and <font color="white">IronJUNKIE</font> for coming out to play VF at our place tonight.

Catherine and I enjoyed your company.


Friday or Saturday night looks good for more VF if people are interested. We're happy to have it here (snacks and soda on the house as usual) or Catherine and I could travel to someone else's place (and bring a TV or two if needed).

If you all want to come here, please let us know by Thursday afternoon so we can stock the fridge. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I like out-of-context experiences...

I'm out in Mesa, Arizona for a reunion LAN with my Quake 3 clan. We went to an indoor karting track yesterday. Saw a guy using Kage Maru as his race name (he looked about 16 or so). Asked if he played VF. He said yes.

Forgot to ask if he posted here.

I think more VF in preparation for Evo2k4 is in order. I'll set something up soon.

Will you hit traffic? Oh, yeah. Lots of it. Don't let that sway you! You're getting ready for a big ass tournament that brings tons of skilled players. This trip is worth every minute of it.

What we provide: Three TVs, US PS2 with Evo, Japanese PS2 with Evo, two evo sticks, two ASCII sticks, air conditioning, fridge full of soda, couple or three bags of chips, places to sit, room for five or six (maybe seven?) VF setups.

What you all need to bring: Biggest TVs you can come up with and fit in your car (remember, it's better to have too many), POWER STRIPS, your PS2s, your sticks, and your evo discs.

What about food? Everyone usually chips in for food. Lots of fast food in the area. Good sit-down restaurants, too.

Who's gonna be there? Well, in the past we've had some of the best that Southern California, the West Coast, the East Coast, and the world has to offer - any one of them could make a return visit: <font color="white">Spotlite, Andy, Myke, Joey, Shou, Dobi, IronJUNKIE, LPC73, Team Tokyo Mafia (PhoenixDth, Sean, GoatCheeseBlues), Ken_I, Catherine, SillyWilly, KTallguy, Type Tenchi, Banes, Mindscan, Whoa_its_Eric, Mike90210, vf4akira, Gribbly and Team Pandemic (Austin, Forrester, Jimmy), sgtsmurf, Joon, Weslyzm, Rikyu, Adam, Amir, Chris, Adrian, Peter, Mike, Jake, Harlock,</font> and many more!

Sometimes 14 people at once with five set ups running!

Maybe this time we'll get six setups going! Maybe even seven!

What's gonna happen? Lots of VF4Evo. Everyone in the mood for a double elimination tournament? How about a team battle? We can do it!

Please post your intent to show up right here on this thread - makes it more exciting for all the fence sitters out there - and it's easier for us to plan the beverage purchase.

Yeah. I've been super lame and haven't made it to any VF meets, save for the one small one out in Hollywood. So hopefully I can make this one. I might have a friend interested in coming with - and I think I'd be able to bring a tv, PS2, VF4E disc and xarcade stick (that yes, I know I'd be the only one to use).

I can't promise anything yet, as my work schedule is ever-changing, but I want to play some sweet sweet VF. So I'm sure as hell gonna try.

Hell yes its time to play! Hate to have let you down last time Plague, but do to unexpected circumstances *cough*KT screwed me*cough* I was M.I.A. and seeing as though Im usualy the only ride KT has thats two birds with one stone. Doh!
But Im there this time, I got the 9th off and Ive learned from my past mistakes. Im there to play all day!
