i won't be able to make it because i have to work the night shift tonight, and I need to spend some time at home before next week's VF madness begins.

Please post details about Monday. I'm jam packed with stuff to do as I will be leaving town on Wednesday early morning... but I would like to get some VF in before I go.

Also I hear rumblings about possible after-tourney get togethers on Sunday. Any news on this?

Still, Sunday after the (VF4Evo) tournament would be cool. Hope someone can get something together.

dude, you think *you* have no time. It's now looking like I'm gonna have to cancel my tournament registration. I *might* be able to come and watch the finals Saturday but that's about it.

Why? Well my sister is currently visiting me from Australia, and she's just announced that she's going to get married. In Vegas. One guess when.

Of course this is actually very exciting news - I'm happy for her - but the timing sucks =[

Sounds like VF madness is already in full swing. I swear that my annual trip to Hot August Nights (in Reno, to sell shop manuals) always conflicts with something very cool. Maybe next year.

Good luck to Catherine, Brian, Bryan, Brian, Alex, Sean, Andy, Joey, Mike, David, and Cameron. You are all the best. SoCal has awesome representation and I hope you all kick major ass.

readdressing the topic - things been pretty dead in socal after evo2k3, people probably too burned out from the tournament.

Anyhow Talis gave me a call and seems like we want to be game on friday. Maybe the LPC can host at his new "pimp pad". If anything we can do the usualy last minute scramble at Seans place. Brians "hat" busy with school for sure, so his place is out.

If anybody can put something together that would be great. If not im resorting to the San Diego scene /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bryan and I and possibly Joey would be down to play on Friday. If LPC has a place in Westwood/WestLA that would be especially good for us, but we'd gladly go down to Pomona or wherever else. Maybe we could invite the SD people as well.

What are these SD people you refer to? I guess KTallGuy exists. I'm betting that ZIPCODE guy we saw at EVO2k3 was a holographic projection. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Glad you guys can make it on Friday. Catherine and I are confirmed and we can bring a full setup. We'll bring domestic evo and PS2 unless everyone prefers Japanese version.

Besides KTallguy and this other guy who's hoarding Chibita clips, I think there is a group of SD Tekken players who were so impressed by the Evo VF4 finals that they decided to pick up VF4. There's a thread in tekkenzaibatsu where people who admit to railing against VF4 before are now singing its praises -- in the SC2 vs. VF4 thread. It's a 180 from what you would see on tekkenzaibatsu just a few months ago regarding VF4. I think they were especially impressed by the speed of play.

Any ideas where were playing?

Sorry about not mentioning the other SD guys - I had read about them in the SD thread. I do hope they can make it up here as well. ChibitaClipZipCodeHologramWithaGF knows the way. He should lead them. He might be difficult to spot however - I've heard he can change his hair at will (credit Catherine after Evo2k3: "His hair did NOT look like that yesterday.")

Friday's get together is not at my place - it's just not ready yet.

LPC73 doesn't have a place.

I don't know exactly where we're going to be.
