Oh I forgot to mention that my local arcade has been looking into getting a VF4: Final Tuned. We were offered before for VF4: Evolution for roughly $200. I'll have to look into it for more details. From what I hear, we'd be getting the card system and everything...but that's not all in concrete yet. I'll keep you updated with stuff from my friend that runs the arcade.

SC2 has been the only game I've been playing since 2002, so I'm a little bored. Even though my bf and I still go to SC2 tournaments to see friends, he's pretty sick of the game, too. We'll probably play T5 when it comes out, but till then, we're just playing VF when we have time. (Unfortunately, we haven't had much time to play, so we're still complete scrubs...)

Word, I'd be down to help us get an FT machine somewhere in Socal, as long as it has Japanese sticks.

BTW, if Unconkable said he'd only been playing VF for 3 months, he's smoke-screening you /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif, he's been on VFDC since January of last year, and used to post pretty frequently. If he said he hadn't played in 3 months, I could believe that. Anyway, he was one of the people who beat me in the tourney, the other being Eric.

I'm just interested in the arcade so I can go check it out. I used to frequent Super Arcade for the Guitar Freaks machine. Then switched to AI for the Guitar Freaks. Then found out they were owned by the same people. Did I mention I also play Guitar Freaks?

Any place willing to think about getting FT sounds worth a visit to me.

Since this post is more about Guitar Freaks than VF4EvoFT and I wanna type Guitar Freaks more than I ever have in one post (you all realize this post is evolving as I type, right?), I will ask... does your secret arcade have Guitar Freaks /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif? And what mix is it? And if it (this secret arcade) does or doesn't have Guitar Freaks (there it is again - I'm up to 7), I still want to know the name and location.

I'm sleepy - I go get soda now, or bacon.

um....this arcade is up and la, and I'm not quite sure which arcade yet, cuz there's like three arcades up in that area, and they are all under the same guy I think
one of them is called interface and I think powerzone for another...but like I said, I don't know which one yet...I'm going down this weekend to find out...I'll let ya know if there's any change.

Edit: someone throw a meet this weekend...? I seriously think we should all play more...

well we used to have meets frequently till sean moved out. No ones residence seems to have the capacity to hold a socal meet other than talis's place. He lives in riverside which is a stretch for a lot of people, and without another person to hold meets its a pretty big burden for him - especially with his recent schedule. If anyone else can hold meets, they should speak up now.

Right on, Mike. Welcome back to the scene /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Friday nights, or Saturday afternoon/nights work great for Catherine and I. Two weeks notice in advance works well. This Saturday and May 6th to the 9th are no good for us.

To anyone interested:

For the next get together at our place, plan ahead for Friday, May 14th. It's not set till I make an official announcement. But it's getting to be time to play again.
