DAMN people! The SoCal thread was dead for god knows how long...and then started to warm up again with the whole talk of the Feb. 13th gathering...and I jokingly refer to Alex as cheap and BANG - war!

I'm going to have to log in here a lot more often!

In any event, I didn't mean anything by it, Alex - hell, I don't know what cheap is or isn't in VF...I won more rounds against you than anyone else, so hey, you're A-OK in my book, buddy!

Basically, what I think everyone's trying to say though, Alex...is that you basically have to defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance. So tell me when you get a handle on that!

Thank you soo much Talis for having this meet. Everyone playing again was exactly what we needed. I can't wait to see you guys again, and to see the new house! I also really want to meet smurf or any of those other new guys that posted once, and never came here again. I might be able to bring in a new Tekken player that’s interested in the game as well.

Well, I have a feeling that this is going to be a really good meet, and I’m glad that almost everyone can make it.

P.s. Bryan, that was a really good answer, and I think Alex should listen to it a little bit more than he is, but in his defense, I think he is playing with a fighting dialogue in mind. I always have a lot of fun playing him, and if I ever do get hit by something cheesy like 3 sweeps in a row, it’s because I assumed that he was going to switch it up and do a hop kick instead. I think that Alex continues to sweep because he guessed that I’m going to block or sidestep the hop kick. (This is a really good guess because I’m much more likely to sidestep - horrible juggle of death, than block low- horrible juggle of death) Even though I guess wrong say 80% of the time, I do feel that there is some interaction going on between us, and it does feel good when I sometimes guess it right. Of course, I may be the only one that sees this interaction, and that may be why I’m the only person that doesn't think he’s cheap.

It's time to play in SoCal

For those of you that missed the first announcement two weeks ago...


Plague's house is open for super VF action.

Date: TOMORROW, February, Friday the 13th.

Time: 7:30 pm till...

Place: Riverside, CA. PM for directions and phone numbers if you need them.

What we provide: Three TVs (one needs RF modulator), US PS2 with Evo, Japanese PS2 with Evo, two evo sticks, two ASCII sticks, fridge full of soda, couple or three bags of chips, places to sit, room for five or six VF setups.

What you all need to bring: Biggest TVs you can come up with and fit in your car (remember, it's better to have too many), POWER STRIPS, your PS2s, your sticks, your evo discs, and an RF modulator for one of our TVs.

What about food? Everyone usually chips in for food. Lots of fast food in area plus we found a new, less expensive pizza that tastes good!

Who's gonna be there? Well, in the past we've had Spotlite, Andy, Joey, Mike90210, vf4akira, LPC73, Gribbly and Team Pandemic (Austin, Forrester, Jimmy), Team Tokyo Mafia (PhoenixDth, Sean, GoatCheeseBlues), SillyWilly, Joon, Weslyzm, Ken_I, Rikyu, KTallguy, Adam, Banes, Jake, Harlock, and many more! Sometimes 14 people at once with five set ups running!

That fucking rocks!

Maybe this time we'll get six setups going.

Please post your intent to show up right here on this thread - makes it more exciting for all the fence sitters out there - and it's easier for us to plan the beverage purchase.

Can't wait to see everyone again. And to all the new players - you won't find a nicer group - everyone's great to be around.


One last thing... If anyone wants to get a hold of Nordic (AI Thomas) or tomhilfiger, please go right ahead. I don't think they've ever been to my house before, but they're most welcome.
