P.S. Oops, just realized that a 0-frame at disadvantage may also beat an OM attempt.

That would depend on how delayed the OM is. If it was buffered after the P hit, then any OM attack will nullify the possibility of 0 frame throw. Remember that whether or not a 0-frame throw occurs strictly depends on what the opponent is doing at the time of execution.

The way I understood 0 frame throwing this situation makes perfect sense but what I can't figure out is why would you attempt a throw while your opponent is in recovery? That makes no sense but I figure everyone makes mistakes.

    hi~ /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

just for the record, ~ i used to use throwing at disadvantage in VF4, for when my opponent used a jab ~ delay/dash ~ sometimes the opponent didnt always followup advantage with 2taku~ and used a dash of somesort instead to read my distance and/or evade.

inbetween, i'd throw instantly~~ ehh, i wouldnt consider it a stratergy, but i did use it ~^^

Yeah, that definitely works, and I think most of the time it's due to an ETEG input error or a result of panick.

I think this is the same case in the vid. I would not consider this as a legitimate defensive technique. Unless you can eyeball frames, it will be very hard to tell whether or not the situation will constitute 0-frame throws at least in the situation shown in the vid.
