There's also natural skill and talent involved... some players will get far better in a year of regular play than others.
If you suck @ VF like I did, don't waste your time: you'll never pass the intermediate level... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I know exactly how that feels when I start losing to my bf's Akira.
But, you know, whenever you feel like that, just do something non-game related for a couple of hours, and then go back to it. If you really like a game, you shouldn't want to give up on it so easily. Try looking up strats on the internet, or some combo vids on Youtube, if you need help to continue to improve.

I'm a student at this game too and like the rest I have a tip that has helped me a lot.
Try playing a lot off games with someone you know that is a well rounded fighter and ask him/her to judge your work and give tips on how to improve your weak points. This may be brutal in the beginning seeing your character beëing manhandled a lot /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cry.gif, but havin a so called teacher might steer you in the right direction.

But more important is that you hang in there, you will get better the more you fight.

the thing about this game is... ALWAYS CHANGE!
you can no some of the best combos in the world and if you fight someone, youll prob win a round or two... but a good player will ADAPT AND WOOP YOUR ASS

forget about good or bad, just do something different. The frustration of losing a million fights in a row is stemmed from a MINDSET.
BTW we all get in huge losing streaks... EVEN NOWWW where i can almost hold my own against good players, i still sometimes have MASSIVE losing streaks where I know im just in a weird mentality.

I've gone from like 8th dan to 4th dan IN ONE SITTING ONCE it was that wack... u just gotta take a break.

your taking this game way to seriously /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
if your gonna last you gotta realize just like life... everything is just a silly virtual game... wait.. what..?

The only thing you should be worrying about is having fun once that happens all things will come to you. Besides you might have got better you just haven't noticed it because you were only focusing on the bad parts of your game that gets you killed and not the good parts. It could always be worse if that is what you wish it to be.
