Guys, I commend both of you on your efforts so far.

Regarding the quality, and I'll have to be honest, I'm not satisified with the blurry stills.

Here's some scans of Jacky's command list from the White Book:
    Jacky, Page 1 (1.60 MB)
    Jacky, Page 2 (1.47 MB)

While the quality isn't the absolute greatest, I think it's second only to direct capture at 60 fps for the reasons Leonard mentions.

If anyone can make rock-solid frame grabs, then here are the guidelines:

    1. Use Free Training
    2. Choose the same character as yours for the CPU
    3. Change stage settings to no walls
    4. Use default 1P and 2P costumes only (no customisations, items, etc)
    5. All attacks should be performed from the default start position
    6. All attacks should be a Normal Hit, unless a Counter Hit or Guard is required to successfully perform the move
    7. All throws should be performed after dashing in from the default start position
    8. Crop the original image so that it contains both characters
    9. Resize the cropped image to a resolution of 180x101
    10. Filesize should (try) not to exceed 5 KB per image.
    11. Representing an attack or throw with more than one image is acceptable. Just ensure each image fits the criteria above.

Otherwise I'm happy to scan the images from the White Book and just use those. At least they'll be consistent as well.

Sounds fine. About the guidelines, what about file size? Still under 5k? Also, should we do captures with the attacks landing or being guarded?

One more question, just to be clear, not sure if this was for me also:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> Regarding the quality, and I'll have to be honest, I'm not satisified with the blurry stills. </div></div>

So you thought my images such as the one below were too blurry?

Thanks Neko, I've edited the post to mention the 5 KB size limit, and hit requirement.

And yeah, I thought your images could have been sharper. The high angle upper kick you show is probably the best of the bunch.

OK I will follow Myke's guidelines.
Since I do in fact have direct HD capture @ 60FPS.

This is why I volunteered in the first place. But I wanted to see what you guys wanted before I said anything.

I'll do a cap of all moves, and make static images of them. You guys can do the cropping etc. I'll post pictures in my Photobucket account and link that to you guys to freely browse.

ZeroEx, sounds great. Before you go off and invest lots of time doing this, I suggest you first do a sample or two (or three) just to ensure we're on the right track.

Quality is amazing! Only thing I'd suggest is to try to capture the attack at it's fullest extension, or moment of impact. For Akira's DLC, it looks like the images were captured too late?

And, although I can't remember but can we disable the hit label that appears (High, Mid, Low)?

Thanks Zero for these. Let us know how the capping process goes and I can try to help out with the cropping.

Myke I can make screenshots of any point in the animation, that was just an example.

Here's more I did as examples.

I'll do a proper set tomorrow, I'll sit down and make screens of the exact time the move hits and for a long move when it hits and ends.

    Fantastic.

And the High, Mid, Low display labels? Can they be disabled?

Quality is indeed excellent! Are you really going to undertake this monstrous task of capping every move from every character? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif You deserve a medal for even thinking about it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbs_up.gif

Awesome quality, really. I wish I'd have an HD capture card; that's simply amazing.

I'll have all the still up by Thursday, I just needed some help with some characters.

Also I had a terrible cold last week, sorry.

Ok, finished all the top row yesterday and did Eileen and Brad in the bottom row.

Took all screens for Akira's moves. (Takes ages)

I've got almost 200 screens for 1 character, and other character will probably have more.

So the question is... should I saved the folders for each characters pictures to like a zip or rar, and share it? or upload all the screens to Photobucket?

Probably best to zip/rar each character and share the file. It'd be a pain to manually download three thousand images individually /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Any progress on this? I am (among others) edge of my seat after seeing the effort put here by you guys. Can't wait to see the end result!
