I won my WCG Qualifier, but....

One more detail should be put out there.

According to Rayblade (and he told me this right after the problem surfaced), the result was reported before he was able to report. I don't know if he meant that he felt there was simultaneous reporting (between you and him) or if the result was there before he even had a chance to report.

It's because of that detail that he assumed the worst right away though. The way he explained it to me "anohito was able to report before I was."

Again, I am glad that you agree that the winner is the one to report. Anyways, the detail should get squared away soon I would hope.

It's caused distress to both players.

I think what happened was, he filled out the form for the second match incorrectly, and then when the results came up on his screen with me being the winner, he jumped the gun and assumed it was because I sneakily beat him to the punch and reported myself as the winner before he had the chance.

Edit: But you know, regardless of what you assumed about me, I still don't really agree posting about the problem here was the right thing to do. Even if Rayblade didn't feel like he could resolve it with me, the next thing to do would've been to take it to the WCG officials. If they refused to do anything about it, then I suppose he could've taken it here. But it's not like he didn't have any evidence to support his win. I don't think he would have had any trouble working it out if he'd just been a bit more patient.

If you're really sorry about this incedent, then I suggest you delete this thread after Rayblade gets a chance to look it over and see where I stand.

Okay, I have a few more statements to make.

1: There is a chance that me, AnoHito, or WCG misreported the match. If it was me that misreported the match, I sincerely apologize for everything here and will take down this thread and all videos/evidence. When and if this is settled in the proper manner, I'll take down the videos/evidence right away.

While posting results, I *swear* that I've checked to make sure I put myself as the winner. This entire thread wouldn't have been necessary if it weren't for someone/thing's mistake.

2: Whether AnoHito misreported the match or not, I don't think he should be banned, but rather have a strong warning instead. He should also assist me in this matter as he's not denying that I won this match and that he's already offered assistance.

3: If it's WCG's fault, well, they should fix this, simple as that.

4: It it isn't clear, The first thing I did was send WCG a score dispute. I also sent them the youtube & photo links.

5: This type of thing can (and will) happen to another player, so this could also be a good lesson for others to try and record matches for disputes such as this.

6: Finally, I can't tell you how annoying it is to see AnoHito (3-2) on the Grand Finals results schedule when I know that I've won.

Let's hope this is settled soon. Everything is now in AnoHito/WCG's hands.

 

Look, I really don't see what gives you the right to be so pissed off. I am the one being dragged along for the ride in this dispute despite having done nothing wrong. Excatly what do you think I *did* that deserves a warning? As far as I'm concered this whole thing is a stupid missunderstanding that I'd rather not have been involved in in the first place. I'll help you with the dispute if you tell me anything specific I need to do, but until then, don't act like it's my responsability.

Besides, you are seriously blowing this out of proportion. You are qualified, no matter what the screen says. I'm not going to fight you on it, so do what you have to do to straighten it out with the officials and get on with your life. Everything you are saying in this thread is just adding pointless drama to this incident, because it has no effect on that outcome. But let me just say, if I were a WCG admin, and I saw this thread, I would've kicked you out for unsportsmanlike conduct.

What *you* could do is go to WCG support and tell them there's a scoring dispute that could have been caused by me, WCG or even you unintentionally. Simply an honest mistake by somebody.

If you read my post more carefully, it should be clear that I feel nobody should be banned whether the mistake was intentional or not.

We should both get warnings, if anything.

Please send a support ticket so this matter can be settled. Thank you.

 

Why should I get a warning? I think I'm repeating myself here, but I did absolutely nothing wrong. At any rate, I will submit a support ticket if that's what you want.

A similiar scenario happen to me and Marlo_Lurosci last week for our finals match. I reported to WCG that Marlo reported results before we fought.

I contacted Marlo about the issue through Live and he said it was sorry for the mistake and wanted to play our matches. I agreed and we played our set. Coincidentally, the result of our games was exactly what he posted. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif I wished Marlo good luck for his final with KrsJin.

A WCG official contacted me via AIM about the ticket I wrote the next day and wished to investigate it. I told him that we had our match afterward and that he won but I forgot to notify officials. Everything was cleared after that.


Final note: RayBlade and Anohito dispute really didn't need to be addressed on this site. Rayblade should have reported to WCG.
