The fact remains that you are a sore loser. Take your losses like a man, whether it's due to lag or someone beating you with "unsportsmanlike gameplay" or whatever it is you decide isn't fun or fair online. Who are you to tell people how to play the game? If you aren't having any fun, so finish out the match and avoid that player. You'll never have to play them ever again, it's your choice.

Everyone has been in laggy matches and has lost to someone doing simple moves over and over. Tough shit, get over it. I'm just glad you made this post since I'll know never to connect to you online. Who knows if you'll pull on me cause you think my 100pt wall combo was unfair, or I was evading all your moves, or I wouldn't let you get up without knocking you back down. I rather not take that risk.

You take those losses and you give CiscoRey the VF5 ultiimate champiion of the uniiverse trophy.

Chung, thanks for at least being understanding, lol. We've got a very tough crowd here on these VF threads.

In any case, I usually do sit the match with those individuals who choose the lackluster approach. In fact, it's very rare that I ever find myself pulling plugs on anyone. The /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is fairly simple to get around and is usually not a problem. But, oh my god, is it annoying as hell!

I mean, I usually back up a bit to allow the other player to gather themselves when I see them doing it. that's just me being considerate of the idea that they may be experiencing a brain-freeze and don't know what else to do. But then they continue to find effective ways of incorporating this lame strategy into their gameplay (if it isn't already the main premise).

Do you think giving them pointers may be more productive?

Actually, it's very common that the same player will find you again and join your match. AM2 did a very poor job of utilizing the avoid player option that so many other games make use of.

The best pointers you can give them is to shove 'em a big one up the ass for whoring /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif over and over.

Lol... why does everyone want to add a "g" to my name? I can't tell you how many times this happens to me in real life. That or explaining to people my name isn't John or Chuck. No harm though, just giving you shit.

As for the pointers, I only offer them up if someone asks for them. That's just my approach, but being that I really feel that I am only a decent player, I don't want anyone think I am telling them how to play.

You know, I sent people messages that have read "Good match but low punch won't get you very far. You should try some of his/her other moves."

You'll be surprised at how many people take offense to it.

Does a bad ass send messages to people when he wants to shove 'em a big one up the ass? I don't think so.

I once played against this French Akira user who did nothing but low punch and throw me. Long story short, i beat him and he sent me a message that read "Good game!"

It was kind of embarrassing. I was really tempted to reply back with a "not at all."

If I really need I'll /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif back to the player doing it to me. The problem is Jacky, Lion and Eileen seem to win low punch wars. It's annoying but I take the loss if it happens.

I have not received a good match message from anyone who I didn't "gg" first. I don't think players like losing to me. Maybe it's Pai or the fact that I do repeat some of my punishing tactics but I hear a lot of yelling come through my TV sometimes. *shrug*

Disconnecting in the middle of round 1 when shit is obviously really laggy is ok in my book. Reason 2 is total bullshit. Yeah low punchers are annoying, especially when you may or may not be able to interrupt after a blocked one b/c of lag.

Still, there is A LOT of frustrating shit in the game. Losing in general is frustrating. Losing to Lion or Vanessa who backdash constantly then use their crazy powerful long-range moves is frustrating as fuck. Dealing with people who use DM constantly is annoying. Fighting anyone who is decent with Shun is basically unfair. TFT is bullshit.

I basically feel that the game has gotten progressively less "fair" sinc VF3, but that is a whole other topic. The point is, pulling b/c you don't like the attacks that someone used (even if cowardly and cheap) is bullshit. You need to rethink that.

None? You will, eventually. Just hope the person isn't a chronic puller and you'll be ok. Keep you're game stylish and you'll have even less to worry about.

If you disconnect immediately or within the first 10-20 seconds then I don't see what the problem is.

If you disconnect when you start to lose then it's poor sportsmanship.

It's your choice to play the round no one elses.

If you get beat the first round and then decide it's because of lag then you are being a poor sport. The lag can't have been that bad because you didn't disconnect until you got beat.

Do what I do if you have so many problems with the ranked matches.

    Don't play them.

Invite some of the players you meet here or already know to some private matches.

There is literally nothing to gain other than an ego boost from the ranked matches.

I understand that some people need such an ego boost but if you can't take the lows with the highs then don't get involved in the first place.

I never check my messages... I guess I could.. is it easy to send a GG to someone? Is there a built in method I mean in Segas setup.. .or do I have to just type your name in in the XBLive thing?
