I miss Vanessa's old look.....

I think one 'excuse' would be storyline wise... Remember, she did become a guinea pig of J6 after the last tournament and from my understanding, large muscle mass and volume don't equal efficient fighter...

Who'd think Bruce Lee was barely 135lb in the 99th percentile of his muscle to weight class?

A 'streamlined' sexy Vanessa isn't just fanservice. The best fighters don't train to build muscle mass, moreso to build speed. Raw unadulterated unmatched speed.

Power = mass x acceleration.

Since heavier muscles simply can't move as fast as light ones, making her more lithe [and fukable] wasn't a bad idea on the eyes or on the fighting style. What skinny people do to hit hard is to simply hit faster... and faster... and Bruce Lee's 1/10th of a second faster... [getting hit by 10 punches by Bruce in one second must REALLY suck]

Case and point, I throw bullet at you, blah, I shoot bullet with gun at you, mass isn't changed but boy does Acceleration change.

By having her lose some muscle bulk, logically speaking, Vanessa improved in fighting ability. The slightly lighter skin tone don't hurt nothing. I woulda humped both gals in any case...

White hair is getting prevalent for some reason. Christy in DoA, and now Vanessa, who's next I wonder...?

 

I miss her old look too, I've always liked her as a character since I first saw her and always wanted to use her. (I finally got around to with VF5)

She was bold, strong, toned and her skin colour was delightful. It was a nice contrast, just like the stages and fighting styles all had diversity, yet beauty.

 

I got my Vanessa to look so good in VF5 after I got the tanned skin in Quest! The last thing I'd like now is having her looking as before but it would be nice for those missing her old look to have a downloadable "VF4 Look Item Pack" or something...

 

Actually that's a good idea cadorna. In VF4Evo there was an option to get the VF1 looks. Maybe they could program a VF4Evo look for Vanessa in a downloadable pack. I'm sure that would please all but the people that want to complain just to complain.

 

I'm one of those people who didn't care for the thunder thighs look she had. Something about her from before seemed to scream out trannny.

 

i cant wait to get her tanned item.. i have my A suit with pale skin and blond hair (i thought she was a tanned white girl till i found this thread way back when, i like the suit with no shirt too, just looks like shes ready to work out..

the other suits look much better with her 'natural' look.. i wanna see how she looks really tanned tho.. i think her 2nd and 3rd outfits will look much better with a darker skin tone.. plus she'll really look the part.. she so fair featured its hard for me to place her without some real color in her face..

 

Almost any item looks better on her with the tanned skin, I got mine with blonde flipped hair (formerly long white ponytail), heavy makeup (along with the general sunglasses, it takes away the "stripper" look), blue contacts, black choker, black heart tattoo, white bra (no shirt of course), winter camo pants (waiting for the white ones to get unlocked - how??) and the brown suede boots. She looks really good.

 

ive noticed that putting decent sunglasses on fixes that Vegas Bunny Ranch look she has with heavy makeup.. i like the biker glasses right now..

i didnt know she had white pants.. havent seen many vane's online tho..

i just picked up her tanned skin option last night.. my new favorite item.. now i have a blond/brunette vane and a chocolate brown bombshell that makes a lot more amazon that her default look.. (but what do i know about amazon women anyway..

 

Unfortunately the xbox version doesn't seem to have all-white army pants - that's for the arcade only /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

As far as the Heavy Makeup is concerned, yeah, i too use it with the General Sunglasses otherwise it *is* kind of... heavy /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/blush.gif

 

I heard they are saving those for item pack 12.
