great post gerns. I see u like alot of the same things i look for in my vf game. A big one for me would be more "fence interaction". Why not make hitting the fence shake it more. In the snow stage, hitting the fence should not the snow off the bars just like when u shake a tree limb with snow on it. Why did they get rid of the helicopter rooftop stage, it fits sarah AND vanessa. I find the stages to be real vanilla. I wish they'd up the ante there. How about me getting items to customize my lei fei stage, so when it randomly picked my "mountain" and i was 1player u could see customizables there. Flags or cannons in the background. Maybe i could unlock an eagle or wyvern to fly around in the background. Maybe someone wants a chain gang in the colesseum stage. Or colored water in the stage with the water in it. Maybe some sarah wants to take that helicopter to all the outdoor stages. What's if a defender plus could do that? Adam Yuki showing up with a dead Devil shark chilling in the background. lol. I want more, more, more

Dude vf5 may have some amazing graphics (although their a bit too glossy at times).... but as much as I hate to say it Soulcalibur 4 has the definate edge.

I beg to differ, i find the graphics to be of the upsaceled ps2 variety.

ALso my GF finds both games lacking graphic detail - actual question: "How is the floor repaired midfight?"

Not like the graphics are a big deal but it is quite hilarious that VF5 is 3 years old and it still looks better than recent fighting games.

The character models are still up to date.

The animation is the best in any game. The characters move so realistically, much more so than most (almost all) games. Left 4 Dead has some good animation when the zombies are running at you, but VF motion capture will always be the best.

I agree, the animation is very realistic. It still holds up against more recent games.

Throw in the Bingo option for online play it will attract a new audience I think. Hopefully old people at the retirement homes.

I could have sworn one of the Oblivion expansion packs went for 2,400 points, but I could be mistaken.

If there was a way for Sega for simply patch the existing VF5 engine, I would buy an :R update in a heartbeat, no questions asked. I'm no expert on game economics, but making it a direct download would cut production costs considerably, and you'd have to figure every frequent VF5 player (whatever that number may be) would be up for a purchase. Assuming it's possible from a technical standpoint, the only reason I can see Sega not investing in a downloadable upgrade is that the fanbase is too small to really make it worth their while. Which is sad.

In any case, it seems the most proactive thing to do is e-mail Sega of Japan as suggested on the frontpage, it might not help a bit but it certainly doesn't hurt.

How many copies would SEGA have to sell to turn a profit on a game??? Especially an arcade port???
